California Vision Center

I had a disappointing experience with California Vision Center that I feel compelled to share. I ordered lenses for my safety glasses for work, but when I received them, I encountered significant glare that made them virtually unusable. This was surprising, as I've never had issues like this with glasses before, even without anti-glare coatings. When I reached out to California Vision Center for assistance, I was met with unhelpful responses from the front desk staff, who seemed more focused on sales than on understanding my vision needs. They suggested I could add an anti-glare coating to my lenses for an additional $150, despite the fact that I had already paid $80 for the original lenses. To add to my frustration, I was informed that my original lenses had been lost in their lab, preventing me from returning the frames. When I spoke with Dr. Cheung, who I believe is the owner, I was taken aback by hi dismissive attitude. They stated that they didn't need my business and advised me to contact my vision insurance for a refund, indicating they were unable to assist me further. Based on my experience, I would recommend exploring other options for your vision needs, as I found the service at California Vision Center to be lacking in both professionalism and support.

California Vision Center is absolutely fantastic. The office is so clean and Dr Jana Chen does an amazing job to ensure that her practice is complies with COVID guidelines (thank you for still requiring masks Dr Chen!). I feel so safe, comfortable and confident being treated here. Dr Chen is also extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. She takes the time to describe to you everything that she is doing and answers any questions you have. The office staff here is extraordinary and will spend lots of time helping you pick out the perfect pair of glasses for you. I absolutely love coming here and I am so grateful for the work you do.

I was in dire need of glasses as I had broken my glasses a year or so ago. I hadn't gotten an exam in 4 years due to depression after losing my daughter. I finally decided to see an optometrist. I found Cal Vision on the internet & made an appt. They saw me the next day! The girls at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The doctor was amazing!! I chose my frames & was in & out of there in no time!! So glad I found them.

Great service! We have been getting our glasses here for years and never had any problems. My kids have really bad eyes, and Dr. Chen always takes her time in checking them and "nagging" them about things they do that can ruin their vision. She is very honest with her opinions. If my glasses don't need to be replaced, she will tell me so instead of making me buy more glasses. Some places are all about the money, but I feel like this doctor actually cares about our eyes.

BEWARE - I stopped here, they had lovely glasses, the exam went very smoothly. The problem I had was that I travel extensively. I was out of town when I received the call my glasses were ready - only to discover that the caller failed to leave a return phone number or even name of the business!!! What????? I was going to be gone another two weeks with no contact information left on the message. WHAT BUSINESS DOES THIS??? Normally we're inundated with company names, telephone numbers, etc. Try to return a call from a phantom business - it took me two hours to contact them. When I finally contacted them, they said they don't leave their name or number in voicemails. HUH???? DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE!!

Been coming here since I first started using glasses, over a decade. I love it here. The doctors are super fast and very kind.

I've been here twice and am satisfied with the great service. I moved to the Southbay and still come back.

Good friendly service, they go out of their way to make you happy.
