On Thursday, September 18, 2025, I had a very upsetting experience at this doctor's office. When I arrived, I politely explained to the receptionist that I was late due to traffic delays in the Culver City area. She immediately asked for my insurance card, but I had accidentally left it behind while rushing to get to my appointment. I kindly asked if she could look it up or verify my insurance by phone as many other offices are able to do but she firmly refused and was very rude in her response. I repeatedly asked if my appointment could be rescheduled, but she continued to refuse. As a 79-year-old woman, I became overwhelmed and emotional, even breaking down in tears. The lack of compassion and understanding from the staff was deeply disappointing. Out of frustration, I made a remark I regret, but it was the result of the distressing situation I was placed in. To make matters worse, the office manager, Christiana, contacted my daughter who was not present during the incident to cancel her appointment and informed her that Dr. Besser request no one in my family would be seen there again . This was an unnecessary escalation and a serious breach of privacy, as discussing details of my visit with someone else violates HIPAA regulations. I have reported this office to my insurance provider and shared everything that took place. Additionally, after reading other reviews, I learned that I am not alone in experiencing unprofessional behavior, long wait times, and questionable policies including being asked to pay $500 upfront before surgery, even with insurance. This level of treatment is unacceptable and far from the quality of care patients deserve. I hope this review encourages others to proceed with caution and helps bring much needed accountability to this facility. Christiana did advise me if I write this review she will delete. Well this my review how I feel. Response: The statements made by the office are not true. What I shared in my review reflects my actual experience. It appears the office is more concerned with managing reviews on Google than addressing patients concerns. I trust that other will read the reviews on this Google site and make their own decisions about this office. This will be my final comment.

I've been going to Dr. BESSER for a few years as part of my annual screening. After my recent visit, I received a bill for $600 for only a routine check up, even when my insurance approved my GP's referral. It's been a few months and I was told by my insurance agent that they were unable to reach anyone at the office.

Dr. Krivoy has saved my eye sight with multiple procedures treating severe glaucoma. They are extremely professional and his team are the nicest people out there. Always nice and provide hope. Best medical service you can ask for (and worth the wait as they are usually busy). I wish other providers would be like them. We would have a much better health system.

I couldn't ask for a better medical experience. From the appointment setter "Sweet" and technician "Mario" all the staff,, just wonderful people. Then I met Dr. Besser and it made sense why the staff was so great. Everything trickles from the top down. They made me feel like a person and not some type of farm animal. Thank you for the great experience. Do not hesitate to make an appointment here. A1 business here!

My name is Razia Bano I got a small procedure of eye plugs done here in August after I received approval letter. I received a bill of more than $500 next month I was leaving country same day for a month so to be on safe side I paid $ 200 online to their account . Since my return in September I am trying to resolve the issue. After countless attempts I got hold of manager she apologized for the blunder and assured me that I'll be reimbursed asap ! This is end of December and no answer . Staff transfers you to remotely working accounts manager who never picks up the phone or calls back. Simply pathetic PR. By the way left eye plug came off within 2 months.

What a lovely well/run clinic. I haven't had my eyes checked in several years and was due for a full work up. The staff at this office is extremely thorough and kind. Despite the office being very busy I was seen in a timely manner. I highly recommend this office.

Went to get a procedure with my eye here. The procedure went well and the doctor was nice. However, the front office over charged the service. They said they will refund the overcharged amount but they never done that. Calling them many times but still haven't heard any update from them.

I feel so fortunate to be examined by Dr. Edwardo Besser because he took the time to explain thoroughly about my concerns I had with my eyes and I had a few. The staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful with any of my questions. I highly recommend this practice.
