Dr. Kohara is fantastic! My daughter adores her and the team and office are great. She is thorough but also patient - not rushing us into surgical procedures and giving us a lot of great details and information. She was professional, kind and caring and the team was always very responsive. We spent a lot of time trying to work with other doctors but no one comes close to the professionalism, responsiveness and care that Dr. Kohara has offered us. A+++++ recommendation. Really and truly - we are so grateful to her and her team.

We received three reminders of my child's appointment, when we arrived I was requested for our copay and was informed we would be charged 75 dollars if she needed to do refraction testing. An hour after our appointment I received a call from the office stating they were not in network with our insurance and they would be sending us a bill for our visit. I then spoke with our insurance to find out refraction testing and our visit was actually in network. I received a weekly reminder to pay this bill, but took several prompts to the office to receive any further communication. Dr. Kohara is friendly and did great with my child, however I wish she provided more communication on the exam and findings. She also had someone else in the room with her who was never introduced.

My son has been a patient of Doctor Kohara since he was 2yrs old (he is now 7.) We love how kind she is with him and her willingness to explain him what she is doing, why, what it will feel like etc.

I went in with my 6 year old after I noticed she was having trouble seeing at a distance. I debated whether to take her to an optometrist or an ophthalmologist, and after much consideration and advice, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Kohara. I do not regret my decision at all, as everything about the appointment went smooth, no hassles, and the staff was welcoming. The doctor was very comprehensive and thorough on examination and did not hesitate to answer any questions. She established a plan for my daughter to try to correct her vision and monitor her progress. I am so pleased with this doctor.
