I recently had strabismus surgery with Dr. Deitz and, as other reviewers have said, I had a very positive experience from start to finish. My vision has greatly improved. I no longer have any double vision or any need for prisms in my glasses. The surgical center where he performs his surgery was lovely and great at putting one at ease pre & post procedure. Dr Dietz is very patient, communicative and kind with a genuine interest in accommodating any issues or constraints you may have (in my case vis-a-vis anesthesia). Highly recommend him for you or your children!

I had strabismus surgery with Dr. Deitz and it was such a positive experience. From start to finish, Dr. Deitz and the team made me feel at ease and explained everything clearly. The surgery went so smoothly and my recovery has been easier than I imagined. I'm so happy with the results, both in how my eyes feel and look. Truly grateful for the care and expertise here & if my children need ophthalmology he will be the first person I would trust.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Dietz for almost 7 years. We've had nothing but great experiences with him. He's super knowledgeable about strabismus. He did everything he could to help prevent us from having eye surgery to correct it, but we ended up needing it anyways. Leading up to the surgery, he was very communicative, especially during, and after. He has wonderful bedside manner with children and is very patient with them, and parents. I highly recommend him to anyone, especially to those with strabismus. He's truly world class!

We have been seeing Dr. Deitz for over 5 years for my children, and I highly recommend him. What truly stands out is his probability-adjusted risk approach--he is balanced, intentional, and thoughtful. Rather than prescribing treatments for the sake of doing something, he carefully assesses the probability of benefits versus risks, piecing together different inputs to make the most informed and accurate judgment calls for my child's care. He takes the right safeguards without overreacting. For example, when my child was younger, he recommended seeing a retina specialist to err on the side of caution. Over time, he has adjusted his recommendations as my child has developed, showing a deep understanding of how to adapt his care to their needs. Dr. Deitz also has a warm, approachable manner that makes my children feel comfortable. He lightens the mood with little "dad jokes," and my kids genuinely enjoy talking with him--often opening up to him more than they do with other doctors.

I should have read reviews before bring my child to Doctor Deitz practice. He is the worst doctor for kids due to his lack of patience (rushing through the appointment), unprofessional behavior (going back and forth between rooms to see several patients at the same time). He does not have the minimum respect to patients time, my son was seen 45 min after his schedule appointment. If your child needs drops for an eye exam do not even think to bring them over this doctor because he will make that experience even more traumatic for your little one. (It caused blurry vision and big discomfort already) They dont know how to manage kids .

Dr. Luke Deitz is simply the best, in my humble opinion. I have been bringing my children to see him for over 4 years now. We drive 3 hours (one way) because he is so wonderful with them and is a perfectionist when it comes to their health. We are forever grateful for the successful surgery he performed on my oldest and the incredible ongoing care he has provided for all of my children.

Dr. Deitz did surgery for my daughter's blocked tear duct. He explained all details and made us very comfortable with the procedure. Great post op care and follow up. . Highly recommend.

Excellent- Dr. Deitz made my nervous daughter feel comfortable and understood (not an easy task) . Dr. Deitz's level of care is unparalleled (which is very hard to find this day in age). We highly recommend him.
