Cloverdale Optometric Center

I went to them Nov 5 2024. Got glasses by them. Within a year the glasses are completely scratched and it's really hard for me to see through them. I went to cloverdale eye clinic in October 2025 to show them and one of the girls working there said the anti reflective is all scratched up. And it's not possible to clean it. She said the vendor they used was not good and used inferior quality stuff. I told her that I wouldn't want to make my glasses by them again then. She said , now they have changed the vendor so don't worry at all and said If I had come within a year they would help but now they can't. At that point I didn't know that it hadn't been a year. That was incorrect as I had come to them in Oct 2025. I was lied at that point with incorrect information. I checked my records and my last appointment was in Nov 2024 so I called them back. I was promised a call back on Nov 4th 2025 but it didn't happen as they say their phones lines are messed up and they got really busy. On Nov 5th 2025 Miriam called and said they can't do anything. She Judged me that I had not used them properly and Accidental damage is not covered by insurance. Miriam has not even seen what the glasses look like. And what has caused the damage She said we Can't help u at all and you are welcome to go somewhere else I asked to talk to supervisor and she said supervisor has a day off today. And the supervisor can't do anything for me as well. I had always admired Dr.Susan Cheung and thought of her as a great doctor. But unfortunately now will have to take our business somewhere else and she will lose 6 patients of our family but I guess it really doesn't matter to them.

Dr. Susan and the team are always great. Ive been coming here since 2009. Susan takes her time and is very personable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will be a longtime customer.

I went in to Cloverdale because I injured my eye. My eye would hurt, was red and had very painful sensitivity to light. The staff were very nice, courteous, and had wonderful customer service skills especially Sonia who checked me in, and verified that all my needs were taken care of. She is very friendly and devoted to her responsibilities. Dr. Chung was amazing, she performed a very thorough exam and explained every step of the exam. She was very patient and made sure that all my questions were answered. I was very happy with their people skills it made my situation so much easier.

The front desk staff seemed unwelcoming, almost looking down on you. Proper courtesy and professionalism were lacking, so I'd recommend avoiding this place altogether.

I have always received excellent treatment and service here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Chung is great and explains everything she does and sees.

1 star (if possible, would give zero) Terrible experience -- avoid this place! I had my eye exam 8 weeks ago and was told my prescription would be emailed to me. After 5 in-person visits and 4 phone calls, I'm still waiting. No one follows up unless they're trying to get you in for another exam -- then they call and text you nonstop. They even broke my eyeglasses, took them back to replace the frame, and later denied I ever gave them to them. Completely unprofessional and dishonest. Now I have no glasses, I'm out of contact lenses, and they still refuse to give me my prescription, even though I've already paid for everything. Save yourself the stress -- go anywhere else. This place is all about getting your money, not giving you service.

I have been visiting Dr. Susan Cheng for more than 10 years now. I recently moved and tried visiting a different eye doctor close to my new home, recently finding my way back to Cloverdale Optometric Center. The drive is worth the affordability of specialized care I always receive regarding my vision.
