I have been insured with Kaiser Permanente for more than a decade and have generally had positive experiences. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the optometry and contact lens fitting department was very disappointing. The eye exam itself was completed, but the interaction felt rushed and difficult. I did not feel I had sufficient opportunity to explain my vision needs, which include different use cases such as computer work, active driving, and other daily activities. During the contact lens fitting, I was repeatedly told there was not enough time to address multiple items in one appointment. I had arrived early, as instructed, because I had two appointments scheduled that day. I also attempted to provide information about the contact lens brands I had previously used so comparable options could be discussed, but I was told this could only be addressed during the fitting appointment. At the follow-up visit, I asked to explore clinically relevant options such as toric lenses, multifocal lenses, and dryness concerns. I was told that only limited options could be reviewed per appointment and that multiple separate visits would be required. This expectation was not clearly communicated when the follow-up visit was scheduled. Ultimately, I was told that my needs were too extensive to be accommodated and was offered a refund rather than a structured plan or alternative solution. The overall experience felt rushed and dismissive rather than collaborative and patient-centered. I hope this location reviews its communication and scheduling practices, as this was not consistent with the standard of care I have experienced elsewhere.

Maribeth was efficient, helpful, pleasant and nice. She spent a good amount of time helping pick out my frames. She was thorough and very helpful in informing me about various pricing and options.She gave me excellent customer service.

Attendant took care of my wife and myself. Very friendly and knowledgeable. She also refitted my spare glasses that never fitted correctly.

The eyecare department was awesome. I walked in and received help very quickly to order some new lenses for some older glasses that had an previous script. Front desk very friendly!
