I had such a lovely experience with Lisa and her receptionist Casey! I cold-called to see about picking up some trial lenses, and Lisa fit me in right away to come and be fitted. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping me get the right lenses and really going above and beyond to help me out. As a School Nurse, I have identified many students who may have normal visual acuity, yet can't read. About 8 of such students in our school have received therapy from Dr. Harvey and have improved their reading skills so that some of them no longer needed an IEP to help them get up to their grade level in reading.
Dr. Harvey can fit your child for glasses, like any other optometrist, or she can diagnose processing disorders and assign a set of vision exercises that can empower your child to rapidly process the visual images that are entering their eyes. I have also heard from adults that she has successfully treated.
