I suffered with vision problems for over 15 years. Come to find out I had cataracts in both eyes. After building up the nerve to have the procedure, Dr. Aghai / Century Eye Care was the place that I trusted to help me see again. After two successful cataract surgeries, I was able to see clearly for the first time. I saw colors, definition, and a beautiful world. This procedure was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I am so glad I did it. Thank you kindly.
- Impressive Display of Miscommunication
Arrived a few minutes late after misunderstanding my appointment time. Instead of simply saying, "We can't take you, please reschedule," the front desk sent me into the back to ask the doctor myself.
This resulted in me walking into a room where the entire staff looked at me like I had teleported in uninvited. No one knew why I was there because -- shocker -- the front desk never told them anything. The doctor then sent me right back to the front, making the whole detour pointless.
To recap:
* I was late by a few minutes.
* They could have calmly rescheduled me.
* Instead, they turned it into a group confusion exercise.
If the goal was to create maximum awkwardness with minimal effort, mission accomplished. If the goal was professionalism... try again.
I won't be returning. Clear communication shouldn't be this difficult
The secretary was very dismissive towards me. I didn't get the answers to my questions. I felt like I didn't matter to her. I had to ask the doctor my questions. They were very helpful
Unfortunately my mother was referred to this doctors office by her primary. My nieces, sister and I have had to bring her here for some eye appointments and there is always too many people waiting in the lobby, HOURS of waiting, in a not so great location. This office/doctor books back to back patients with one doctor to serve all these patients. Staff is friendly but feels like this office is abusing the medical system by having so many patients check in with medical/medicaid coverage. How is this allowed? Additional doctors should be hired to serve this much volume. What a disappointment.
I had a very disappointing experience at Century Eye Care. They do not seem to prioritize patients with disabilities, and the wait times are unreasonably long--over two hours in my case. It feels like their focus is more on generating revenue than providing quality care. I would not recommend this place.
12/26/2024 I had an appointment and was lucky that they called back and I went. However, they made me come back for another test. They did call me this morning to confirm and my guess is maybe they cannot authorize the test. I called many times after they called at 10:30 am but they will not answer the phone. I guess I will figure it out tomorrow when I go. It has been 4-5 years since the last I saw an eye doctor that is why I needed to go. In frustration I would forego all this and pay the 40 bucks and see one in Walmart but the government already stole enough from me to fund wars to kill other people abroad so I stopped caring.
12/27/2024 I did not get a follow-up call saying I did not get an authorization, so I wasted time going to an appointment they made for me without telling me that they did not have authorization. I also had issues with parking so I parked by a garbage can in which the other line was blue. People are also inconsiderate and park by the driveway entrance so people cannot go in. I told them good I didn't want to park illegally for an extended period and get a ticket and left. I hope I don't have to come back.
As stated below, they really need to get their stuff together. Each time I have an appointment it takes me DAYS to get through to someone on the phone. I had to connect to a surgical coordinator to make an eyeglasses appointment! They keep saying their phone lines are too busy but that's not believable. You would think after helping so many elderly people they could at least get their phone lines fixed! Imagine how many elderly people can't receive help because they can't answer their phones and their mailboxes are always full? This is pitiful and severely unprofessional. Someone should report it and it might be me, so watch out.
This place takes too long. Still waiting for my father to get out he needed a check up for and a medical document, we have been here since 12:30pm. I get it it was while they where in lunch. But it's 4pm and dad is still waiting inside. I can't stay inside with him because their pandemic rules which I understand but can they give him a time frame maybe we can come back before they close. Then eye exam was done like 1 hour ago and we are just waiting on the docs signature at least thats what they have been telling him. For the past hour.
