I had such a fun time at Visual Edge. It was my first time going to an eye doctor to get a real exam in my entire life. I had so much fun with all of the tests and everyone was so nice about me being so excited. Dr. Meyers was very sweet. She really helped me understand what was going on with my eyes since I knew nothing about vision/glasses. I really appreciated who helped me with picking my frames. She took all of the information on what I liked and gave me so many options to choose from. I was happy I was able to find the style of glasses that I wanted in a matte style. Thank you to everyone who helped me. I had a great time and I'll see you when I pick up my new glasses.

I've been going to Visual Edge for many years, and I truly appreciate Dr.Patels honest and thorough approach. He always gives me a clear assessment of my eye health, and I never feel rushed. His entire team, especially Emilia takes the time to explain everything in detail regarding my insurance. I always leave feeling well cared for. The office is professional, friendly, and genuinely focused on patient care. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and his staff.

Dr. Patel was great, professional, helpful, and thorough. Unfortunately, the front office staff tried to charge me an additional $15 just to print out my prescription when I picked up my glasses. That didn't sit well with me. If I'm going to be nickel-and-dimed over a simple printout, I'd rather go elsewhere.

Probably the worst eye care experience I have ever had. I don't often write reviews, but I felt others should hear about my experience. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt that ended with a high pressured eye glass sales person. They didn't accept my husbands vision insurance. It took over 3 weeks to get our trial contacts and then had to wait several weeks for our glasses which were very over priced. I felt the doctor (Dr. Diaz) was condescending and didn't really listen to what my visual needs were. I got the impression that she felt she knew what's best for both my husband and I and didn't listen to either of us. We both told her we wanted daily contacts because we don't wear them regularly. When I got my trial lenses, she had ordered me monthly lenses, not daily lenses. I then had to wait again. The eye wear sales team was rude and unhelpful. All they seemed to care about was selling glasses. The communication between the office and patient was horrible. I ended up with a contact prescription that I cannot use. Because of the way the doctor wrote it, I cannot order from a place that accepts our insurance. I will never go back there again. A response to your response below: I'm impressed that you responded to my review so quickly. I wish you responded that quickly and thoroughly to patient communication. Yes, I was interested in trying a multifocal contact lense. However, Dr. Diaz did not explain that there was no daily multifocal toric option for my prescription. If it was, I would have opted for something else instead of being surprised at my fitting. I was definitely not confused about wanting daily lenses. Also, regarding your staff, at no time did I yell, speak harshly, or disrespect any of your staff. If anything, it was the other way around. I felt dismissed, ignored, and almost bullied at times. In fact, when I came back for my fitting, after an interaction with the staff, Dr. Diaz said I looked upset and asked if I wanted to talk about it. I was so upset at the time that I said I could not say anything. My patient experience was anything but positive or high quality as mentioned above. I don't think your office provided clarity during the exam, the fitting, ort anything else. In fact, I felt rushed, patronized, and dismissed. I felt the doctor and her staff were arrogant and condescending.

I can't say enough great things about Visual Edge Optometry! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Par Patel is truly outstanding--thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every step of my exam, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with my care. The entire staff deserves recognition as well. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make the process seamless--from scheduling and check-in to helping me choose the perfect frames. They clearly work as a team and genuinely care about their patients. It's rare to find a practice where the doctor and staff combine such expertise with such kindness. If you're looking for exceptional eye care in Gilroy, I highly recommend Dr. Patel and the Visual Edge Optometry team. They've earned my trust and I'll definitely be returning!

I had the best experience not only with me but for my son also! Emilia went above and beyond for us and was great about communicating with appointments and the arrival of our glasses. She made the experience very pleasant for the whole family.

Overall my experience here was great. Helpful, informative, professional, polite. Emilia and Alicia were so helpful in the front desk with my paperwork and scheduling, patient and courteous. Mireya was fun to work with when picking out my glasses.

I needed an appointment quickly in order to meet a DMV renewal deadline. They worked carefully and efficiently to be sure what kind of service I needed. Dr. Patel and the technicians were kind, and put me at my ease. I've been with Visual Edge for a number of years. They offer efficient customer service with a great human touch.
