My husband has Glaucoma, and our previous ophthalmologist stopped accepting our insurance, so we had to look for a new doctor. My insurance co. kept authorizing for us to go to a doctor with whom we had already had a bad experience, so we were ready to change over to Kaiser in the fall when enrollment would be open. However, we needed to be seen, so we asked again and they authorized for us to see Dr. David A. Markman. We LOVE him!!! He is wonderful, patient, caring, and does not rush you. His staff is nice, too. We will not be switching to Kaiser any more. Thank you, Dr. Markman!!!

I've been seeing him for years, he has gone beyond the call duty, helping me through eye injuries, cataract surgery, and a pterygium ( surfers eye ) surgery.
I'm forever grateful for Dr Hecht !
And his remarkable staff !
The only thing left is X-Ray vision !

Woman at the front desk has 0 customer service skills and a bad attitude. My mothers appointment was at 2:30pm and she did not get seen until 4:36pm. What is the point in having an appointment? Then they want to rush service because they close at 5pm. Regardless of what language someone speaks or type of insurance they have, they're assigned to your office and deserve quality care.

Dr Hacht is the most amazing eye doctor !! I would refer him to my family, and friends , He did Laser Surgery on both of my eyes, I was so nervous and scared, but Dr Hacht made me feel nice and relaxed.. Dr Matthew Hecht's Eye Center in Lawndale is a fantastic facility. Dr Hecht removed cataracts from both of my eyes and did a lens implant on each eye. They were done 5 weeks apart with unbelievable results. I can see as good as when I was a teenager and that was eons ago. Both surgeries were pain free and took about 25 minutes each. I was at the surgery center for only about three hours each and was back home by 11 am each time. Plus the whole staff at the Lawndale office and the Surgery Center was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. And Dr. Hecht does a magnificent job. I highly recommend him for this procedure.

My PCP referred me to Dr. Hechts office, which turned out to be a wonderful experience as scared as I was. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and very knowledgable! Dr. Hecht could not have been more informative as to the process of fixing my eye. He was
kind, thorough and seemed to care deeply about his patients eye sight (or lack of). He offered options, of different lens types, and explained in great detail the surgery that was inevitable to follow. I felt I was in such great and competent hands with Dr. Hecht. Now because of his services I CAN SEE CLEARLY now!!!!!!!! and my quality of life is soo much better.
