Total Vision Los Gatos

I was very disappointed with my experience at total vision. I came in for a routine eye check and was prescribed glasses which I didn't need, paid the bill, and went on. A week later I was told the staff had made an "error" when charging me with the original amount I paid and had to go back to pay the correct remaining balance, I paid this and went on with my day. 3 weeks later, my glasses came in and were damaged. I didn't notice any difference wearing these glasses so I proceeded with using my cheap pair from the dollar store. However, 9 months later I get a call from total vision saying there's a "small balance" due on my account, when I haven't visited the store in months. I am extremely disappointed with Total Vision and the lack of transparency and integrity. I will be looking for a new eye doctor.

Total Vision must have been a great company prior to my visit. The front office staff was very nice to me, and the selection of lenses, frames, and coatings was great. They were very flexible in using my old frames as well. The doctor was nice and did a great job with my prescription, too. So what's left? Their accounting department is very broken. I paid my entire bill out the door including my VSP credit applied to my bill. All done. Instead, I keep getting "payment denied" by my insurance company. Sadly, their accounting department keeps trying to get more money from my insurance company, repeatedly resending a new bill for me (twice now over 8 months). I recommend finding a different optometrist so you don't run into a broken accounting department.

Tuan's patience with teaching my daughter to use contacts for the first time was truly amazing. The doctor and all the staff are by far the best around. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at this clinic. I went to see Dr Conroe and he really went above and beyond. I went in the afternoon and had my eyes checked. He was concerned about the validity of the exam due to the timing and lack of sleep and allowed me to come in the next morning to recheck my eyes. He is thorough and thoughtful. As an aspiring physician myself, he did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him.

I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this eyewear clinic to caution others, especially those with serious eye issues, to reconsider visiting this establishment. My association with this clinic began in 2022 when I underwent my first examination in November of that year. While I regret not remembering the name of the doctor, I must commend his proficiency. He conducted a thorough examination of my vision and prescribed comfortable lenses for my glasses. However, my most recent visit in November 2023 left much to be desired. Unfortunately, my previous doctor was no longer with the clinic, and I was assigned a new one. Arriving promptly for my appointment, I underwent various tests and procedures, only to find myself waiting in a room for an hour with dilated eyes. When the doctor(it was a woman, unfortunately I don't recall her name) finally arrived, the examination felt rushed and incomplete, lasting a mere 10 minutes. Given the complexity of my case, this was far from satisfactory. Despite the subpar examination, I proceeded to select frames for my lenses, opting for a beautiful pair of Kate Spade green glasses. The total cost, approximately $400-$500 (excluding insurance coverage of $150 every two years), seemed reasonable. However, upon receiving the glasses after 3-4 weeks, I immediately noticed discomfort when wearing them. Despite being advised to give it a week, the discomfort persisted. Returning for a follow-up examination, I was disheartened to learn that the prescription was indeed too strong. The lenses were replaced, and I awaited the arrival of my new glasses. However, even after receiving the new glasses in December 2023, I continue to experience discomfort. The prescription remains incorrect, leaving me unable to wear these glasses comfortably. It's May 2024 :( As of now (May 11th, 2024) I'm still using the old glasses prescribed by their doctor back in 2022, and they suffice. However, it's disheartening that despite two examinations, the new doctor couldn't provide the right prescription for my eyes, leaving me unable to enjoy my new, beautiful green Kate Spade glasses. The frustration is overwhelming.

My family and I just moved here and were looking for a friendly, well equipped place. We found it here. They are helpful, kind and funny. The doctor is professional and on top of the latest eye care. My whole family felt very comfortable with him. If you are looking for somewhere to get an eye exam. Call them and make an appointment right away.

Dr Jim and his staff are superb! I have had a great experience at his office. His office staff is friendly and professional and keep appointments on time. I've seen Dr Jim for years and have no reason to change. He referred me to my lasik surgeon, which was a life changer and recently handled an eye injury with compassion and quality care. I recommend Dr. Jim highly!

Dr Pietriantonio is a wonderful optometrist. I love that he is patient during the exams and wants to get the Rx right the first time. The front office staff is friendly and always helpful when picking out frames. They too are patient with me when I come back for multiple adjustments! I was having trouble with my latest lenses and Dr P took the time to check everything and is having my lenses remade due to a lab error. I feel like the whole staff really cares. I don't trust my eye care with anyone else.
