I want to share my appreciation for the manager at the Costco Optical department. After an employee treated my mother poorly, I called the manager Mr. Tom Zambros the next day to address the situation. He was incredibly understanding, patient, and professional. He listened carefully, took the situation seriously, and went above and beyond to make things right. His kindness and willingness to help turned a negative experience into a positive one. Outstanding Optical Care at Costco Marina del Rey As an architect who's worn glasses since my teenage years, I'm extremely careful about my eye health and optical precision. The Optical Center inside Costco Marina del Rey has consistently impressed me with their professionalism, accuracy, and customer care. From the manager Tom to every member of the team, their attention to detail in measurements and frame adjustments is exceptional. Even when I had issues with lenses, they replaced both the glasses and frames without hesitation--no questions asked. Despite being located in the middle of a busy store, the staff remains calm, patient, and genuinely helpful. Their dedication to customer satisfaction stands out in every interaction. Special thanks to Dr. Doug Nishida and his crew. After my eye surgery, Dr. Nishida provided the most accurate prescriptions I've ever received--better than what I got from a well-known hospital's optometrist. His expertise made a real difference in my recovery and comfort. Thanks to Tom's leadership and the entire team's commitment, this Optical Center is a rare gem. Highly recommended for anyone serious about their vision.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE COSTCO!! It is my favorite store. But beyond just the great deals it's the excellent customer service and friendly helpful staff that make it a joy to shop here. I've been going to the Optometrist onsite for well over 10 years and then I slide over to the optical department to fill my contacts and glasses. This particular year I had the wonderful experience to work with Jasmin and Victoria. Super helpful, very professional and excellent service. So often customers are quick to send a note when they're frustrated, but you also need to know about how helpful and dare I say cheerful that good employees with great customer service skills can be. I made 3 different trips to the optical dept. One to place my order with Marco who was super knowledgeable and gave me advice on the best options to select for my lenses. He also showed me that they had additional frames in the cabinets behind the mirrors because they had too many they couldn't display them all. Well for me it turned out to be where the winners were hiding. When I came back to pick up my glasses Jasmin helped me with the sizing and made sure ya girl was looking right before I left out the door. She was so influential that I ended up ordering a 4th pair in clear frame just so a girl could have options to go with every outfit. The last trip was to pick up my newest pair and Victoria and Jasmin were right there to help me collect my new specs and adjusted my other pair that kept slipping down my nose. Can I also say that their compliments made me feel beautiful and just made my day. How often does that happen in your world? Well that's what I've come to expect from Costco and their customer service. Because of the employees and Costco's leadership's commitment to keep their business practices the same and not be intimidated by threats from our current administration, they have a customer FOR LIFE!! They have a terrible service. First, I went there to have a pair of glasses done, one for distance and another for computer. They made them with the wrong measures and the people working at the optical didn't even check them, so I had to go to the optometrist again to verify if the glasses were accurate. The second time the computer one was finally accurate, the other needed adjustment. I had to go for a third time, finally with the proper measures, and placed the order. I waited two weeks for them to tell me the package was lost, and it would take an additional 2-4 days. One week later I didn't hear from them. I called them once again and told them I've been waiting more than three weeks for my glasses, but according to them it's not ready because they are "slowly" working on it. Professionally disgusting.

I just completed a purchase at Costco and was very disappointed with the attendant who assisted me. The attitude was unacceptable -- the language used was rude, and the manner was impatient. This experience left me feeling extremely upset, to the point that I was in tears. I cannot understand why a customer should be treated in this way. I sincerely hope that you will take steps to improve the professionalism and quality of your staff so that other customers do not have to go through a similar experience.

I'd like to share my experience with Tom Zambros at the optical counter this past Saturday Aug 23rd. Not only did he help me save a lot of money with the mention of bonuses and special offers, but he did it all with grace, professionalism and a great sense of humor. Oh, and on top of it all he fixed two of my broken pairs of glasses! In a world of automated responses on support phone calls and uninterested, distracted service people, Tom Zambros is a a treasure! I've always loved COSTCO and Tom is one of the reasons for my continuing membership.

I've been to this location twice. I had a great experience. I didn't even get a chance to sit in the waiting area before I was seen. I'd recommend!
