This optometrist just lost a customer due to the unbelievable rudeness of receptionist Nicole. First, she tells me I did not have an appointment before even looking it up, then proceeds to tell me that I can't use my benefits until Feb. I step outside to call VSP( I will be filling a complaint about this with them as well.) and they see the problem and clear it up. I call back and Nicole immediately begins arguing with me, then mocks me for asking her to verify that my benefit was fixed and that I am eligible for frames. Sad part is my sister recommended this place, as her family goes here. My daughter received her frames from this optometrist this year as well. None of them will be back in 2026. That's 6 customers you have lost. And I always buy sunglasses along with my frames, which I pay for out of pocket so you lost a sale there too. The really sad part is I saw some really nice frames there and, would have come back when again in February. Not now.

Amazing staff! The doctor listened to all my concerns and offered solutions, very thorough. They also were ready at the time of my appointment and saw me immediately. I have never had such a great experience.

Best experience I've had with an optometrist. So kind and thoughtful, very informative. She did not try to upsell me to get 2 pairs of glasses like another place I'd tried. She advised my distance was pretty good and didn't necessarily need them unless I just felt more comfortable. The staff was very helpful in helping us select frames and also gave us time to try on ourselves and find the perfect pair! This will be our go to place from now on!

My eye exam visit was phenomenal from start to finish. The office staff was very courteous and the examiner, Cheyenne Huber, put me at ease by answering all of my questions, describing the procedures, and really listening to my responses to her questions. So delighted!

Dr.Chinea is excellent. My prescription is perfect. I did not need to adjust to it. Her staff was very helpful and she has a wide selection of frames. I am very happy with my glasses! I highly recommend this place.

So genuinely kind and thorough. From the moment I walked in it was seamless. Wonderful team and Dr. Cheyenne was so kind and willing to explain everything and answer my questions. Tons of frames to choose from. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Cheyenne Chinea and her staff at Mtz. Optometry are the best. When we realized my daughter would need glasses, we knew where to go and her experience was easy, no stress and even fun. My hubby needed special glasses for driving and they helped him find some perfect frames. This place is a gem and we love our local eye doctor!
