I came for my post cataract surgery follow up and even though I was very early for my appointment Dr. Kim saw me right away. She and her health care team at Azul Vision are kind and compassionate health care providers. She answered all of my concerns about my post cataract surgery care. I highly recommend Dr. Kim and Azul Vision!

Dr. Kim showed no care to hear why I was there, no care to thank me for the 50 minute past my appointment delay I sat through. She had no idea why I was there and wouldn't allow me to tell her until she was done examining me. I asked her if she had my past records so she would know what I was there for. She said "I'll look at them when I finish examining you" l said Ok. When she finished her examination she typed data and when she was done she told me that I needed an appointment with another doctor in the office for cataract surgery. I said "have you reviewed my record yet?". She said," no, I'm too busy, I'll look at it later". She then lead me to the front, talked to the receptionist, then turned and walked right past me without a single word. I reported this rude, thoughtless, uncaring behavior by Dr. Kim to the receptionist. I have stage 4 lung cancer. It had metastasized to my brain and a lesion was found in my right eye.I saw an Ocular Oncologist and he said it doesn't look cancerous but keep an eye on it. I had a reason to have my eye and records looked at, and Dr. Kim wouldn't look at my records and chose not to listen to me.. I do not believe Dr. Kim had my best interest in mind at all. It seemed that me getting referred to a surgeon in her office was all she wanted. I would like to have the $35 co-pay refunded as Dr. Kim did not listen or care about what I was there for.

This is my first visit to see Dr Kim. She's an ophthalmologist and she was very thorough and extremely friendly! All the staff members were polite, respectful and very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend Azul Vision to anyone looking for eye Care. My former eye specialist is no longer covered by my network.

I do not recommend this doctor if you have an HMO or are looking for quality care. Because I have an HMO she automatically assumed I wouldn't be able to afford surgery if my insurance didn't pay for it. She told me my vision was fine when I can't even read letters off a book. See you soon because I've read a wall chart that my vision was still very good. Truth is I have a dark line going over my lens that only affects me when I'm trying to read from a shorter distance. Overall, not a good experience. I do not recommend this doctor at all. I will be looking for another referral for my primary doctor.

I waited on hold 34.5 minutes to get this appointment, but they did squeeze me in on a Friday afternoon for a possible emergency. The front desk staff were a little confused and sent me back-and-forth twice. Kevin, who got me prepped was excellent Dr. Kim seemed to do a good evaluation. She didn't talk much at all, maybe she had to totally focus on her job , but she came off a little less than warm. I was supposed to see an ophthalmologist, but there wasn't one on staff yet so they had me see the. Optometrist . When discussing a potential emergency, it was a real tough 34.5 minute wait, I have to say, and that was my first impression. I assume and think they will get more organized as they get more established. I'm neutral at this point in my review of them.

The worst health care provider that I've ever visited. Cold, impersonal and rude! I saw her today at Azul Vision. 1st off, Kevin, the gentleman (truly a gentleman) who gave me the initial glaucoma exam and measured my existing glasses was an absolute pleasure. He also had the respect to call me sir and Mr. Chan. Kim (I can't even move myself to call her Dr.) walks in - no hello, and starts going into the eye exam. BTW: probably the shortest exam I've ever had. You're supposed to line up the lines, see what is better or worse - right? You've all been through this. But sometimes you have to ask go back maybe #1, maybe #2. I could tell she just wanted to get it over with. About 1/2 way through the "exam" which by this moment was probably 5 min (literally that short), I wanted to ask her a couple of questions. "Hold on" let me put your readings in. She said she's "short on time." I mean what? Aren't you supposed to listen to your "patients" concerns? I asked if reading close up without glasses is bad for your eyes. She glares at me and says "it's up to you." I repeated, "is it bad for your eyes." Same unapologetic answer. Again unapologetically she begrudingly came back to test my eyes for reading distance. And, when she approached she said "move your feet!" That's when I said "enough." "I don't like you and will see another provider. She tore up her notes. Do yourself a favor Kim, learn some manners!

Dr. was Ok. She couldn't do certain things at the Oceanside office, if I had seen her at the Encinitas office, she could have done everything I needed to get done. Honestly, I did not understand why. She tried to explain, but it made no sense to me. Azul Vision Corporation is HORRIBLE from ALL experiences i've had thus far, from phone calls to my visit today in person. Too much to type here. I had to change Ophthalmology offices due to my insurance group. I am Giving the doctor a 3, but Azul Vision gets a -10 if I had a choice!!!! This review is by Karen R.

No people skills at all! She is , self focused and does not comprehensively address issues and concerns if at all. I have no idea about her skill level or understanding and felt the appointment was a waste of time. She did not even address my glaucoma, eye pressure chronic eye infection, concerns. I had to ask her and she found it irritating. I think she's more of an eyeglass doctor. Looking forward to meeting with An ophthalmologist at their practice. In the future.
