I had a retina issue on a Friday afternoon that was quite the scare. SD Retina Associates went above and beyond to take care of me, even staying past closing hours because of the urgency of my issue. The Administrator, Nurse, and Dr Jacobsen treated me with so much empathy and transparency it felt as if I were family. I couldn't have been in better hands and am grateful for these true medical professionals! To top it off they are extremely gifted in what they do!

I have been here over the past several years and have been well taken care of. Recently, they took care of my son and I am very grateful they are highly trained professionals. A couple of doctors that I have had over the years have since retired, but if you need any retina issues checked, or treated, these are the eye Docs you need to help you get treated right.

The most unorganized office since Dr Smith and Dr Robinson sold the business
Left an urgent massage for Doctor but receptionist did not bother to give my massage to him
Last week had a visit for the first time with Dr Jacobsen he put so much pressure to my eye that my eye muscle got numb and have to go back and see another doctor .
I have been a patient for the last 20 years at the office never ever had such a harsh exam stay away from Dr Jacobsen

Its difficult to describe how stressful an eye emergency is. For my wife and I, it was very overwhelming. I was extremely impressed with DR Smith and his staff. Its one thing to be a great eye doctor and something entirely different to be both a great person and a great retina specialist. We have spoken to many doctors about how our eye problem was discovered and treated and each time they all have said, "DR Smith is the best retina specialist in San Diego and possibly the best in the country"

I was recommended to Dr. Robinson by Dr. Grieder's office. Dr. Robinson took the extra time to perform laser surgery on me for a torn retina that same day and I didn't even have an appointment. But he recognized that I needed immediate help and took care of my problem. I can't say enough about Dr. Robinson and his staff. They are kind, caring and empathetic and I can't express enough my gratitude for helping me.
