Absolutely wonderful care was given to my 77-year-old husband who had cataracts in both eyes removed this past week, and can see clearly now! Dr. Evans has given my husband back his sight; what a precious, perfect, nearly miraculous gift!
At each visit we were grateful and impressed by the entire staff of caring, professional, knowledgeable folks who were uniformly kind and helpful. The precision with which Dr. Evans' scribes and with which he, himself, checked and rechecked EVERYTHING before surgery (and after) was tremendously reassuring.
The nurses at the surgery center, also, are patient, dedicated, gentle and informative.
Today when we went for the day after surgery check-up, Dr. Evans said, "You have 20/20 vision now. It's better than mine." My husband wanted to say, "It's because I have a better doctor than you do."
Thank you to everyone at Cedar Eye Center!
These people need to update their websites with the proper hours. Website says "open closes at five" so I drove a half an hour to get here only to find the door locked. Woman inside won't even have a quick conversation with me. 30 seconds to apologize would have been easy and courteous. I don't like giving my business to businesses that don't care about customer service. There are other doctors in the area so time to start looking.
Run, don't walk. Have a donor implant in my right eye, wet in November, said there was no problem needed laser surgery. They said. Eye I became very infected within 2 weeks went back in saw another doctor in there for 3 minutes for $325. The whole side of my face has been infected the swelling. I have lost the implant with the partial retina detachment. None of their diagnosis were correct. It wasn't the right course of action on any of their levels
Friendly people work there and they take good care of you, but they have no idea how to schedule properly. Every time I take my father in law for his appointments it takes over an hour for him to get out. They way overbook their appointments so they can't keep up with the flow of patients. There is really no excuse for this, it shouldn't be hard to figure out how many simultaneous appoints you can handle without slowing down care. Then figure out how long you need for appointments on average and thats how long you space them out. Currently been waiting an hour and a half for my father in law's appointment to finish.
Relatively new to the area, after reading several reviews of different offices, I chose Cedar Eye Center. Some previous reviews here caused me concern but after having had 4 appointment with Dr Noroton and the team @ Cedar Eye Center, I can say that the experience has always been pleasant & profession. Wait times have never been unreasonable, staff is friendly, they asked questions and listened to my concerns. I am glad to have chose Dr. Norton and Cedar Eye Center.
First review: Waits are interminable. Wait to be taken back. Wait between exams. Need a bigger facility. (See response).
Edit (after owner response): Glad to hear they are improving things. Their care is great but the patient load is incredible. Will be nice to go back to them. Dr. Bishop has been very good.
Dr Norton was great. I had an emergency and was taken care of right away. BUT I was told to return the next day to order new glasses. Arrived at 12:45 and was told she was taking lunch.
Had to wait 2HOURS for her to get back. Kept being told about another 15 min. I would have left but I live 30 min away.
Ron Evans is a topnotch Ophthalmologist. He's caring, compassionate, very knowledgeable, and answers all my questions. Yes, sometimes we have to wait a long time after the scheduled appointment, but it's likely because he's taking time to meet the needs of patients prior to my appointment. He recently did cataract surgery with a permanent silicone lens implant in both my eyes, a week apart. It has taken 50 years off my eyesight - now everything is brighter, colors are more vivid, and I can see clearly without distance glasses! The procedure was painless with minor discomfort. I'd put it off for many years, disliking the idea of having my eyeballs sliced. But Ron Evans is highly skilled, and in 10 minutes he was done. No eye patch even! I could see after the surgery, though blurry for the first 12 hours, but after that, things cleared up. My life is totally changed - I can see stars at night after decades of not seeing them! Now I need cheap reading glasses for close-up reading, but otherwise, I have 20/20 vision again!
