Dr Johl is very knowledgeable and he explained every detail of my eye procedure. The procedure went smoothly and I have no issues. He has a great bedside manner and I would recommend him to anyone. The staff is very friendly and the office is clean. Thank you for correcting my vision.

The doctor prescribed an eye drop that the insurance didn't cover. The insurance offered to cover several eye drops that are similar to the medication, but the doctor need to approve one of them. The insurance would also approve the specific prescribed medication if the doctor can provide some more details on why this specific medication is necessary over similar eye drops. I called the office over 4 times about this issue. I asked them several times why they can't just approve one of the approve medication to make it easy for them. They said that they were going to provide the notes to the insurance to get this specific medication approve, but they NEVER did. The insurance company tried to contact this ophthalmologist office on my behalf to try to get the medication approve, but this office didn't respond to the insurance company either. After calling them numerous times to get an update over a span of 2 months, and each time they said they will call me back me, but they didn't, I can conclude that they are a stubborn inconsiderate piece of work. You have no idea how frustrating it is to deal with them. This review is in regards to the office phone staff that I dealt with. I don't know if dr. Johl is aware of the situation or not. I have asked the primary care doctor for a referral to a new ophthalmologist.

I highly recommend Dr. Johl & his team of professionals. From the prep work, thru the surgery, & the followup, my cataract surgery went off without a hitch. I should have had it done 5 years ago!

The Experience at Arrowhead Eye Associates was wonderful the entire team provided exceptional care from start to finish. Dr Johl was excellent! He removed a lesion from my eyelid and it healed perfectly!!

Not happy at all. They call to cancel/reschedule at the very least 60% of my appointments. Even had my surgery cancelled right as I was to be taken into the OR because they forgot the lens. The wait times are 1-3 hours long. I have lost out on at least $300 due to these cancellations. So frustrating

I recently started as a patient of Dr. Johl and I couldn't be happier. He did both my eye surgeries less than a month ago and I already have so much improvement in my vision. He and his staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Arrowhead Eye Associates.
