They would find any possible ways to cut costs. I recommend getting glasses from more reputable stores. Coatings from reputable sellers are usually covered with insurance, but they charge you for them here. Also very unprofessional service.
Man I should of listened to my ironworker brother about the service at day creek now it's been 2 month an still no glasses they don't answer phone call an do not call back like the answer machine says ther apost to an still waiting for the manager to call me ,the joke on me ....lmfao ....when the staff reads this ill probably haft to wate another month
I ordered contacts from them, and they said it would take several weeks. I never received a call from them about the contacts, so I ordered online and forgot they placed an order. 6 months later, it appears they charged me for the lens, which I never received, and better yet, I owed them 100 dollars for the remaining balance of the lens. I called them, and they said they would remove the charge ,but they mentioned someone called me three days after I placed the order. I never received a call, and something that would take them several weeks were ready in three days... I hoped that they would take care of this issue and remove the charge from my insurance. I called my insurance VSP, and they said the charge was refused cancelation because the office stated it was outside three months. Bottom line, this office has serious management issues and clearly scam their patients to make a profit. Look at all recent reviews, I am not the only one with being scammed.
WARNING IRONWORKER BROTHERS! Save yourself the time and money. This place has is not the same as it used to be when it was on campus in upland. Warning to my ironworker brothers, this place will overcharge you compared to other vsp locations and then tell you 2-3 weeks and make you wait a month or longer. Not to mention the bad attitude if you confront them with their issues. I'll go somewhere else next time, I've learned my lesson. It's sad when a business can care less about the customer especially when I've been going here for years.
I accompanied my husband last week to his appointment and was pleased with the customer service! We switched our insurance and were unsure of our benefits but Aylin explained them to us and cleared up any questions we had. Choosing and purchasing glasses was a smooth experience, thanks to her! On top of that, she really went above and beyond to let us know that the lab had finished my husband's glasses and that she would follow up and let us know when they arrived to the store. I really appreciated that detail given our busy schedule. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to with this last visit!
I would never recommend this place. Never.
They're highly disorganized and unprofessional. We have requested my son's records 5 times and we are still waiting. He needs to see an Opthalmologist on their recommendation. I don't understand why they won't help. We have asked in person, on the phone, and via email!
Additionally, despite having apoointments, we were there for 2.5 hours, most of that time was spent waiting while the office staff goofed around and gossiped with each other. When they were done with a story, they would call us back.
Despite ordering glasses on the same day as our visit, we never get our glasses in a timely manner. It is now 5 weeks after ordering and we are still waiting on a pair. I paid out of pocket for a $500 pair of sunglasses and they don't even come with a case?
The office staff never remembers to make appointments or knows how to answer questions about orders and appointments. Apparently, they scheduled us before our annual date and then told us we would have to come out of pocket for our visits and orders. We refused. I mean, THEY CALLED US TO SCHEDULE THE DATE and said "its time for your annual visit."
Whenever questioned, everyone that works there gives unprofessional excuses and speaks badly about their suppliers and other chain locations. What's worse is that they keep coming up with new, unexplained charges. We have double coverage and the fees just keep coming in. I highly suspect they are scamming money from customers and the insurance companies. They're unable to fully explain the charges. I also find it suspect that charges only come up when we go to pick up our glasses, and never disclosed at the time of ordering. I believe an investigation needs to take place. I will check with BBB.
We loved them when we started coming many years ago and they were located in the Colonies. However, it is evident that there is zero training, zero customer care and support and zero management oversight. This location is a joke and a disgrace to the business name.
After years as a loyal customer, I'm incredibly disappointed with Day Creek Optometry. The new management is incompetent and unresponsive. My contacts have been "stuck in transit" for a MONTH, and all I get are excuses. They don't answer the phone, and when they do, they offer empty promises. This isn't the Day Creek Optometry I used to know. Avoid this place! I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You were forewarned not to make an enemy out of me. I invite anyone that has had issues with this place to also file a complaint with the BBB. Shut them down!
I do like this place, but my recent experience makes me want to switch! I did get my glasses as promised, but things went south when I asked for an itemized receipt. The amount shown paid did not match the amount charged to my FSA debit card. Called them, seemed responsive at first and then went silent for two weeks, which led to the suspension of my FSA card. Had to call them again and got a partial receipt for the remaining charges, assured rest will be refunded to FSA card. I don't think they will. Not happy with the explanation offered, they should get itemized receipts accurate! In summary, like their service, but don't trust their billing!
