I had an outstanding experience at Dr. Murphy's Eye Designs on Arden Way during my visit on February 28, 2026, at 4:40 PM. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff made me feel right at home. Their warm and welcoming demeanor genuinely felt like being greeted by family, which made my check-up all the more comfortable.
A special shoutout to the amazing technician who conducted all my tests - we even share the same birthday, June 10! Her professionalism and friendly attitude were truly commendable. It's clear she is passionate about her work, and I believe she deserves a raise for all that she does.
I also want to highlight the receptionist with the short hair; she was fabulous! Both ladies create such a positive and inviting atmosphere that you can't help but feel at ease during your visit. Their dedication to patient care definitely keeps me coming back.
If you're looking for an eye care provider that feels like family, I highly recommend Dr. Murphy's Eye

He told me all my options and let me decide what I wanted. I felt like I was in control of my appointment I felt very comfortable. That's a first that's a good thing in my book.

The people at eye designs were very nice and professional. I was hoping they would have a better selection of frames that were covered by medical but I was still able to find a really cool pair of frames and the doctor and the other staff were great so they made up for the lack of medical covered frames. If your insurance covers the more expensive frames then they have a wide selection of Oakley, Gucci, Coach, Versace and more.

I've been going to eye designs optometry for several years, even through their move in locations. They're very professional and friendly. They really walk you through if and how your insurance will cover things. They have a great selection of glasses and contacts. Now my husband and two kids are regulars as well. To clarify, their new location is at 1610 Arden Way.

I've gone here for 5 years! During that time I've watched as the customer service dropped off year after year. The Doctors do a good enough job when they get your Rx correct but the lobby is overcrowded & the wait is painful. My glasses upon receiving them, not even 2 days old literally disassembled outta nowhere? The lens fell out of the frame?! I brought back for fixing but was stalled and ignored for 45 minutes.
Next year will be the year I get a new Optometrist I guess.

To start, the optometrist was very kind and did a wonderful job. This review is in regards to the office staff. We were 5 minutes early to our appointment and had to wait 55 minutes to be seen. They seemingly forgot about us despite us being the only ones left in the waiting room. We also weren't acknowledged while we were waiting regarding any kind of delay. It wasn't until I went up to the staff that we were then ushered into a room. Based on the office staff I would not recommend this office unless you want to wait an hour to be seen.

Glad I found Eye Designs, especially since my old Eye doctor at UC Davis just up a close their practice without telling you. I know California is big State and has a lot of Citizens. I don't want to hear that! I come from a state where practical practices would send you a post card for reminder appointments, even after 2-3 year out. Thank you Dr Angeline in Morristown NJ. So keep your BS. You lost a client UCDavis. Thank you Eye Designs for taking me so quickly. I really appreciate you.
