We have been going to Dr. Yamada's office for 25 years and we commute from Los Altos. She is an excellent clinician and has a keen sense of style . She can find the right glasses for your face shape and make you look super cool. We have gone to several local optometrists but nothing compares to her service frame options.

I have obtained all kinds of designer lenses and frames, the staff is very pleasant.
I like their office floor plan where you can shop for frames by looking through the glass door.
I was given a eye exam and a bonus eye screening where the doctors will convey your eye health.
I recommend this place to persons who wear designer shades or transition lenses.

Dr. Jill Yamada is friendly, professional, and very helpful. I do not like wearing glasses, but my aging eyes and astigmatism have complicated my prescription and she was very helpful and patient with going over my options and giving me advice.
She and another person helped me find some glasses that would work for my face and were practical in terms of my prescription. I am one happy customer. I did not feel rushed; if anything, they went out of their way to find options for me, ordered sample contacts for me to try, etc.
Another huge benefit was that both Dr. Yamada and her staff seemed very familiar with my optical insurance (VSP through the State). The other three opticians I've seen were not as knowledgable, and the three or four I called over the phone had no clue what my benefits were. So if you're under the standard State VSP plan, this is the place to go.
