MATTHEW M. NISHIO, O.D.

Having been going to this practice for years, since before Dr. Nishio, when I was seeing the Dr. Yamaha before he retired. I then started seeing Dr. Nishio and he is great to work with. Have never had any issues with the support staff.

Dr. Nishio is very kind, knowledgeable and professional. I have been a patient of his for the last few years and always receive excellent care. I wouldn't hesitate to refer my family and friends to him.

Dr. Nishio is the best!! He's so friendly, knowledgeable, and treats you like you're his only patient. He takes time and great care with tests and advise. I have been seeing him since 2014

I've known Dr. Nishio for forty years. During that time, I've been around him in nearly every kind of social situation: family gatherings, church activities, travel, amongst colleagues, friends, our employees and patients. He is a polite, professional and thoughtful doctor. I am fortunate to have him as my business partner. I am glad to know his family. I trust him without question.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Nishio's office for years and he and his office staff provide outstanding service. Dr. Nishio is professional, friendly, informative and thorough. They just moved into a larger office and it's so open and easy to look through all their great selection of frames. I would recommend Dr. Nishio and their office without any reservations.

I've been a patient of Dr Matt Nishio's for years. He is always professional and informative. I also love his office staff - super friendly and polite. Their new office is so nice and conveniently located on the cusp of the Greenhaven/Pocket/SLP area. They always have the cutest frames and up to date vision technology.

I left this practice last year after going to them for many years. I almost walked out of this office during my eye exam with Dr Nishio. Inappropriate and very unwelcomed suggestions made by the Dr that we are close in age and that we should go on a trip together. After I had told him I had gone out of the country and told him it was beautiful there and HE should go he replied...You mean WE should go. (he is married with kids no less) it was absolutely disgusting and given we were the only two people in the exam room just made it worse. When I went to pick up my glasses about a week later I watched this Dr acting a bit nervous... After debating for months, I called the other Dr that also owns this practice and reported his behavior to her and what he said to me during my eye exam. Stay away from this Dr! UPDATE: Interesting that Jill Yamada (the other doctor in the practice) was quite concerned about what I told her when I spoke to her about Dr Nishiro and his unwelcomed behavior towards me during more then one telephone conversation to the point of saying to me and I quote: I am so sorry! She repeated this more then once and she suggested that I come into the practice only on the days she is in the office with the office staff girls when he is not there which I had no desire to do so at that point. What a shame she chooses to defend him rather then address the situation. I would never trust nor recommend this eye doctor to anyone...Not after my experience with him. What he did was wrong.

Wow! The office is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and the Doctors are professional and punctual. I love the location, the office is beautiful with so many amazing frames and styles! I would highly recommend to all!
