Medical Vision Technology

The older woman seated on the right side of the front desk acted in a blatantly dishonest and unprofessional manner. I arrived this morning for my scheduled appointment with Dr. Yang, only to be told--after checking in--that the doctor does not accept my insurance as a primary. This was completely unacceptable, because when I originally booked this appointment last month, I specifically asked whether Dr. Yang accepts my insurance as a primary, and I was clearly told yes. Based on that assurance, the appointment was scheduled using my existing insurance information, and I was told everything was "good to go." When I confronted her about why I was never contacted if there was an issue--especially since no secondary insurance was listed under my name--she had no explanation, no documentation, and no accountability. Instead, she chose to lie again directly to my face and abruptly canceled my appointment. There was zero attempt to take responsibility for her mistake, correct it, or even acknowledge the inconvenience she caused. This level of dishonesty, negligence, and lack of professionalism is unacceptable in a medical office. Patients rely on accurate information when scheduling care, and wasting someone's time due to outright misinformation is inexcusable.

So far I've had a great experience at this opticians office. Keep in mind this is not the optometry's office. The optometrist is located across the hallway with the ophthalmologist. I had a wonderful experience with Dr Grand, who is the optometrist. Really took his time to resolve my vision health issues with me. This is for the optical department. Excellent customer service. So far this is the best optical and optometrist office I've been to in many years. I've had horrible experiences elsewhere where people were rude and pushy. I worked with Jorge, an optician. Off the bat, when I first met him he gave me a printout on my prescription without my asking. He told me just in case I wanted to go elsewhere and get glasses. Most optical departments will not do that because they want you to purchase glasses with them. I probably tried on over a hundred frames And he was very patient working with me until I found just the right pair. Hopefully it'll work out when they come in. Trust me this place provides great service. Ask for Jorge.

I arrive 10 minutes early for my appointment. 30 minutes after my appointment time a technician took me back to do some diagnostics. When that was completed he told me the doctor would be in as soon as she could. The appointment was at 10, I saw the tech at 10:30. That was completed at 10:43 and the doctor arrived at 11:20. The doctor told me my prescription would be at checkout. When I went to check out and schedule my next appointment a year later she tried to book me for Labor Day. Once we finally resolve that I got to my car and remembered she didn't give me my prescription so I returned to the elevator back upstairs, got it and asked for sun shades that were not offered. All in all very unprofessional

I saw Dr Yang the first time, she was nice enough, but was unable to treat the Stye that I had. I got rescheduled to see Dr Grand. The trouble is it takes forever to see anyone here. I waited weeks for this first appointment, and then got scheduled months out to see Dr Grand. I just got a letter today to reschedule that appointment again and it's pushed back another month. It just feels like I'll never see anyone.

Dr. Alex Grand has been my ophthalmologist since 2010. I consider him one of my very best physicians and I'm grateful he cares for my eyes. He is knowledgeable, professional, caring, and kind. I see him regularly for annual checkups and for periodic care to avoid developing styes. I recommend Dr. Grand without any reservation-you will be happy with his care.

DO NOT GO HERE! I can't even begin to express how terrible of an experience going to this office was. Unfortunately, I was a patient of the previous doctor and he has since retired and the new business is a joke. It took me FOUR months to get an appointment which they told me they could help me, then I waited over 90 minutes to see the doctor and then they told me that they don't do the procedure I was looking for. This was AFTER I paid the copay. I was told the billing department would contact me, but after not hearing anything I've called twice and left messages only to not be responded to. I understand when you are busy and have hire wait times, but I am severely unimpressed with the way they handled this situation and STILL haven't helped me. There are so many other doctors in the Sacramento area that have openings and will actually take care of you. Save your time and money and go there instead,

It's not hyperbole to say this is the worst vision practice I've ever been to. The first words Dr. Peabody said when he entered the exam room was "Your vision missed the mark." I had to ask him to elaborate, and he became rather annoyed. My vision isn't great, and I was expecting a bit more knowledge and professionalism. I wish I hadn't wasted time filling out the medical history paperwork, which they sent me in the mail and clearly didn't read. I have a complicated history with my eyesight, which I explained to the receptionist over the phone. She recommended Dr. Peabody, and he was a huge disappointment. The nurse was also incredibly unhelpful. They say they have an automated appointment reminder system, but I never got a reminder. Thank goodness I set one on my phone. It doesn't take 20/20 vision to see that this practice is subpar. A horrendous experience.

This was my first visit here. I found dr. Cissy Wang, assistant Sara, and office people ver y professional yet very friendly. They have great tools for diagnosing eye problems.
