Sacramento Dry Eye Clinic

Well, I've been having dry eye issues for the past 6 to 9 months. I made an appointment with Dr. Ngo for an evaluation. After extremely thorough evaluation, with a multitude of tests, she diagnosed my condition and a thorough treatment plan. I have received three out of four IPL treatments, in my eye region to loosen up the lipid layer oil in my meibomian glands, of the eyelids. I'm also using PRP eye drops to accelerate the healing of the minor abrasions that were observed on my cornea. Well, along with the other recommendations that I followed, my eyes feel much better, as in more lubricated during the day and night, which is a wonderful feeling. I'd like to give a shout out to Dr. Ngo and the staff at Sacramento Dry Eye clinic for getting my eyes back on track, from a potentially debilitating dry eye condition. Don't wait. Fantastic provider. Dr. Ngo is considerate, she listens to you and considers all possible etiologies before settling on recommended treatment options. She also make sure you understand all treatment options as well as pros and cons of each. Her decisions are driven by evidence and it's obvious she prioritizes her patient's wellbeing. I drive a good distance to see her and being that I work full time, she makes room on Saturdays to see me. I'd recommend her whole heartedly to anyone suffering from chronic dry eyes.

I write this review as a severe sufferer of dry eyes and chronic inflammation: if you are suffering from dry eyes in any shape or form, don't wait to see Dr. Linh Ngo, Denise, Celia, and others at the Sacramento Dry Clinic! Dry eye disease is an incredibly complex condition that requires attention and often times, a lot of trial and error to treat. Dr. Ngo and her team are not only fully equipped to treat dry eye patients, but they also treat patients with care, attention, and respect. In addition to all that, I've found that it's very easy to squeeze an appointment in within the month! I started developing noticeable dry eye issues in 2022, and since then have seen numerous medical professionals that were dismissive of my condition--until it developed into a seriously debilitating and painful condition. The quality of my life had taken a very steep nosedive, to the point where I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do anything outside of my house again. Finally, I went to see Dr. Ngo last fall and my only regret is not going to see her sooner! Since I started seeing her, I came to better understand the extent of my inflammation, and ways to treat and manage it on my own. One of the things that sets Dr. Ngo apart from the other optometrists and ophthalmologists I've seen is that she gave me the time and attention required for understanding my root cause and circumstances my dry eye. She didn't just throw lubricating or steroid drops at me and send me off for a three month follow-up. Instead, she took the time to conduct a comprehensive test and asked questions to understand my condition. Once that was done, she worked with me to create a care plan and was patient with helping me understand it to make sure we were on the same page. While we followed through with the plan, we were able to hone in even further on the care that my eyes need for recovery. I've done IPL and PRP drops here, and her office was really great to check in on me to see how I was doing after treatments! Now I'm getting fitted for scleral lenses, which has been really smooth sailing so far! My first test pair were surprisingly comfortable and I was able to wear them all day. I can't wait to get my final pair from Dr. Ngo, as these test pairs have already allowed me to resume a life outside the safety of my warm and humid house! I cannot recommend going to see Dr. Ngo and her team enough. Even if you have mild dry eye, do know that it can progress into something very serious and the sooner you tackle it with a professional that will treat it properly, the better.

I came to this clinic to understand and treat my dry eye issues (resulting from LASIK and allergies), and I had tremendous improvement after 4 IPL sessions. The sessions were uncomfortable but tolerable, and the results were worth the discomfort. Dr. Ngo and her staff were professional, responsive, and warm. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking to address dry eye issues.

I never leave reviews but this one is necessary. DR LINH NGO AND HER TEAM ARE AMAZING. I've had several surgeries to my left eye. Traveled to known eye institutes all over the country (Wills, Bascom Palmer, Stein) to get many different opinions of persistent eye redness post surgery. It seems the more people you see, everyone has a different diagnosis. FIRST DR NGO TOOK THE TIME TO ASSESS, NEXT SHE TOOK THE TIME TO RECOMMEND PRP (no one else did! has truly helped with my condition). We also discussed other options with my rare situation. LAST, SHE ADJUSTED THE PRICE DUE TO TREATING 1 EYE ONLY. WHO DOES THAT. I truly hope this review can help someone who might have an eye condition, wondering will a dry eye clinic be able to help me! Linh, you care about people, and have helped me immensely and I thank you for it.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ngo's for about two years now, primarily for chronic dry eye caused by extended screen time. From day one, she's been exceptionally kind, attentive, and thorough in her approach. Punctal plugs have been a total game-changer for my symptoms, and whenever I've needed a replacement, Dr. Ngo has gone above and beyond--getting me in quickly and even arranging overnight orders to ensure the right fit. She offers a full range of advanced treatments, including serum tears, IPL, and scleral lenses, all tailored to individual needs. The entire staff is not only friendly but also extremely knowledgeable, making every visit smooth and stress-free. If you're dealing with dry eye symptoms of any kind, I can't recommend Dr. Ngo highly enough.

I had a great experience at Sacramento Dry Eye Clinic. The results were nothing short of life changing--honestly! Prior to my visit, I thought it'd be an issue I dealt with forever. Now I no longer need to use Visine drops multiple times a day and my eyes are whiter, less irritated, and overall healthier. Dr. Ngo and her staff are very professional, great at communicating their treatment plan to remedy your issue, and provide follow up consultations in order to address any concerns. It's critical to listen to their advice in order to see the intended results at the end, but it's well worth it! I have VSP for insurance and everything was covered with the exception of the first visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you experience dry or irritated eyes. Game changers! Thank you!

Please read this! If you are looking for a Doctor and an office to treat your dry eye symptoms, issues or chronic condition, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ngo and her staff (Sacramento Dry Eye Clinic). And I don't say "highly recommend" easily when it comes to treating your dry eye condition. It is a terrible and expensive disease to have. As I have been treating my dry eye condition for over 5 years and I have been to numerous, and I mean numerous specialists over the 5+ years; dry eye specialists, ophthalmologists, several optometrists and other doctors in related fields. I have been through the ringer with dry eye doctors, a lot of them do care but follow "standard procedures", or work for larger conglomerate eye practices and are restricted in time or what they can do, or they say their a dry eye specialist but have only been to a couple of training courses. Your local optometrist may say they treat dry eyes but unless they truly practice in treating dry eye conditions they only begin to touch the surface of dry eye diseases. I was beyond pleasantly surprised when I started to see Dr. Ngo. She takes the time to truly listen to you, to truly find the underlying condition or conditions that is causing your dry eyes and then treat the source vs using the standard Lipiflow eye treatments and they say you're going to be OK. She treats you like a real person!!! She has a compassion and kindhearted style striving to improve your conditions and improve your dry eye symptoms. She doesn't rush your appointments, she'll take as much time as is necessary. I also owe her so much as after 5+ years she pointed me to my primary care doctor and specialist for an underlying medical condition that was causing or is contributing to my dry eyes!!! She goes the extra mile which is very rare and hard to find these days in our medical industry. If you think you might have dry eyes, know you have dry eyes or have been through the ringer like me with a dry eye chronic condition I highly recommend Dr Ngo and her staff. Thank you, Tom
