I drove 40 minutes for what was advertised as a **free eye exam** on your website. I also confirmed this over the phone and was told it would be free. However, when I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist informed me that the eye exam costs $79. I was then told that the exam is "free" only if you purchase glasses from your store -- which are already priced high enough to offset the exam cost. That is not clearly communicated upfront. What's even more disappointing is that I was told the customer service team "doesn't always have full information" and that next time I should call the store directly. That is not acceptable. Customers should be given accurate and transparent information before they drive long distances for an appointment. This feels misleading and unprofessional. It's unreasonable to expect someone who has driven 40 minutes to simply accept an unexpected $79 charge. I chose not to proceed, but this experience was extremely frustrating. Clear and honest communication would prevent situations like this. I choose VisionWorks for the free Eye Exam I got my glasses from them as well.

My family went here the other day to help my mom get a new pair of glasses and had a great experience! We were greeted and asked what we needed right when we walked in the door. All of the staff were very helpful every step of the way and easily answered every question we had. Special shout out to Tamar who helped us check out. She was very personable and helpful. Great experience overall and highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Stanton Optical on Arden Way. I recently broke my right arm and also damaged my glasses. I first went to my regular eye doctor but was told I needed an appointment and would have to wait, so I stopped by Stanton Optical, where I've gone in the past, even though my insurance has changed. Emma was absolutely wonderful. She fixed and cleaned my glasses and had them back to me in about 10 minutes. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a stressful situation so much easier. I am extremely grateful for her service and will definitely be returning to Stanton Optical as soon as my insurance allows. Highly recommend.

I called the customer service line ahead of time and was told that the lenses would be around $60. When I arrived at the store, the staff member pulled up a pricing sheet as if I were purchasing new glasses with frames, even though I had clearly stated--before walking in--that I was only looking to replace the lenses. She explained that this sheet was "standard for their practice," so I allowed her to fill it out. The total came to $442 for two lenses, which was shocking given what I had been told on the phone. I've previously paid around $400 for two complete pairs of glasses with lenses, so seeing nearly the same price for lenses only made no sense. After I confronted her about the price and mentioned what the customer service representative had told me, she began adjusting multiple discounts until the total came down to $190, closer to what I was quoted on the phone. I find it very concerning that they use one "standard" pricing sheet for everything--regardless of what you're actually getting--with the first listed price starting at $349, and then apply various discounts afterward. This approach feels misleading and makes it difficult to trust the pricing. The lady, however, is helpful and got my glasses in 30 minutes. I am just not a fan of the practice of selling

Lack of organization caused my appointment to begin 45 minutes late, the exam with the doctor was helpful, but everything after included low quality service, making me wonder how well the staff are trained. My glasses came too tight, with roughly cut lenses and are lopsided. This is my first negative review of a business, but others need to know they will be spending $250+ for this kind of service.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I did a same day appointment. Staff was chill at first. Went through the process and exams. When it was time for my training for contacts I mentioned how it was uncomfortable to put them in and I was no longer interested in getting contacts. As soon as I mentioned not wanting to buy the 3 month of contacts the girl helping got visibly frustrated. She leaves the dingy training room. About 5 minutes later another person came up to me "store manager" aggressively approaching saying that I had a problem with the contacts and it's my fault they are uncomfortable. I simply asked to be checked out and she proceeded to rant on about the contacts and approach me aggressively getting within feet of me. I had to ask her to calm down and please just stop talking to me. She continued on and on. I laughed said you're wasting time talking about me to buy thing these contacts instead of checking me out and allowing me to leave. Needless to say this person embarrassed her self infront of the entire store. Then she's running around telling customers that she's so sorry for acting like that. Once I finally got a person to check me out they decide to over charge me for additional services. I told them I'm willing to pay for the eye exam. The store manger lady refused to approve the price change and said I had to wait for a different manager. Tynisia was the tyrant on duty.
