Dr Rahimy is AMAZING. He genuinely listens and makes you feel 100% confident that he is the right doctor to safeguard your eye health. The only negative is that it seems like every time I have gone there is a longer than expected wait. His staff is very transparent about his timing, so that is super helpful. I guess this is just a sign that there are too few great doctors and patiently waiting is the price you pay to see someone worth seeing. Take a book or your phone and be prepared to wait. He is worth it!

Dr. Rahimy is brilliant, very nice to deal with and really knows what he is doing. I always worry that he works too hard but he assures me that he takes good care of himself. He works quickly and gets right to the point.

Dr. Rahimy is an exceptionally skilled vitrectomy surgeon. The procedure went smoothly with no complications or infections. Thanks to the supportive follow-up care, my recovery has been excellent.

He is an excellent retinal surgeon with exceptional clinical skill. However, he appears to be significantly overbooked, and at times there is not enough time allotted between appointments for him to fully explain conditions or procedures. I believe this issue reflects scheduling practices within Sutter Health rather than any shortcoming on his part. I would strongly support him if he chose to practice at a hospital that provides more balanced scheduling.

It is disheartening to witness a medical environment where efficiency and profit appear to outweigh the responsibility to provide careful, attentive retinal care. I cannot recommend Dr. Rahimy. A retina specialist must prioritize thorough clinical examination and meaningful patient guidance to prevent harm, yet Dr. Rahimy's approach seems focused on career advancement and revenue generation, with little regard for the consequences. Patients ultimately bear the cost of this negligence many without realizing that their retinal tears could have been detected earlier through a proper examination and /or through empathetic, proactive guidance from Dr. Rahimy. Retinal tomography and scans have well-known limitations, particularly their inability to image the far periphery of the retina, where many retinal tears originate. This makes a detailed, unhurried clinical examination by Dr. Rahimy essential. Instead, the system in place appears designed to maximize the number of patients he sees per day, inevitably increasing the number of missed early detections and preventable complications. The financial incentives are troubling, and the result is a practice that seems to prioritize volume and revenue over patient care and vision preservation, a deeply concerning reality for anyone entrusting their sight to Dr. Rahimy.

I have been under the care of Dr Rahimy for several years; he is an excellent physician and I am very happy with his treatment of my eyes which are affected by diabetes. He is very skilled and very approchable, friendly and involved in patient care.

Dr. Rahimy is my hero! I was losing my sight, and he is helping me recover it. I am an avid reader, an 89-yo journalist and writer, and I am able to continue my reading and writing thanks to him. He is a skilled professional and a human being with great empathy and compassion! I appreciate so much the long hours, the sleepless nights, the test-anxiety, the studying, the curiosity, that brought this doctor to be the professional he now is. I recommend him with no hesitations.
