Hard, if not impossible, to reach. I have been trying to make an appointment, but no one answers the phone. After being on hold for about 5 minutes, the caller is told to call back and the connection is terminated. Nor does the offered option of texting them work. I sent a text 3 days ago and followed it up a day ago, but still no response.

I am beyond furious with the absolutely deplorable customer service at this company! I've called repeatedly--morning, afternoon, it doesn't matter--and not a single person picks up the phone! It's like the entire staff is on permanent vacation or just ignoring their customers. I've wasted hours, days even, trying to get through, only to be met with endless ringing or robotic hold messages that lead nowhere. It's clear no one is working, or if they are, they couldn't care less about their customers. This is unacceptable and infuriating! Fire your nonexistent staff and hire people who actually do their jobs!

09.17.25 Dr. John Xie, MD, PhD, is a super gentle and well mannered Opthalmology Specialist. 09.19.25 Dr. Eric Shieh, MD, Mom and dad's glaucoma and cataract specialist, and his assistant Emily, did such a thorough job in examining Mom and Dad. Mom for her stabilized glaucoma and Dad for what it turns out to be very mild cataracts but also discovered mild Macular Degeneration. Thank you to Dr. Shieh and Emily for their careful evaluation of my parents! Office staff ladies do a fantastic job of reminder calls, follow ups, appointment setting, and document chasing :) in a very polite manner. Kudos to these ladies!

Okay, buckle up, its a long one... I've been here like 4 times to schedule my mom's appointments. The first 2 visits were normal, they had a line of people waiting to schedule appointments and the room was full with nowhere to sit. Nothing out of the ordinary, thats a good thing in my opinion. After those two appointments i figured id call to schedule appointments going forward. This is where the reception team has failed me. I have made attempts to call to schedule appointments and no one picks up. I have left messages with my number to call back and ive not received a call back from them or a voicemail. So i think, maybe theyre busy. Let me leave an email. I write the email and a week goes by, and i give them a bump; asking them if they were able to follow up on my request. No response through email, to this day. That was back in August of 2024, our last visit wouldve been in October but we couldnt make it so thats when i went through the gauntlet of calls and the emails. Its January 2025 and i make another attempt to call them on my 15 minute break. From 10:20am-10:32am my calls kept being sent to voicemail. If calling wont work and emails absolutely wont work, i had to go in person. Im coming down from Sunnyvale at 2:30pm, highway 101 South bound, if you know, you know its a beast to drive this highway during this time. It took me an hour to arrive, and after ive scheduled my mom's appointment; i decide to confirm a couple of things. Is the number displayed on Google, the current number for this office? The lady hands me a business card confirming that it is. What time does the staff go on lunch? They said 12pm and i called (10:20am)well before that time. She tells me to try email, i tell her that didnt work and I explain why it didnt work. She responds in a careless manner by saying "oh." While doing something on the computer. When we have already booked my mom's appointment. So that was rude. I'd like to add that before today, i had made a visit for myself. I was curious to know if my insurance was accepted here. There was no line, maybe 3 people waiting to be seen, it was about 11am; and 3 women seated at the reception counter. Across from that counter was another, where another lady sat. Im standing there for about 3 minutes before she tells the other 3 ladies to help me out. Ive seen them pick up phone calls while im there. Im not sure what other tasks they need to be doing but if im coming in during a slower time of the day or the end of the day, i expect to be assisted promptly. The reception team has served me extremely poorly and i hope they improve because not all the staff is bad and the doctor we saw was great.

Hi I've been trying to reach out for a couple weeks now. every time I've called nobody has answered and it goes straight to voicemail. So,I've left voicemails and tried to contact via text. when it goes through the menu after nobody picks up nd it says nobody is available even though I'm calling during work hours, it tells the email address too quickly to write down. Could you please have someone pick up when I call or go through your voicemails? Much obliged.

December 2023 Recently I had my cataract surgery on both eyes one week apart with Dr. John Xie from Advanced Eye Associates. It was successful surgery for both eyes and I am very satisfied with the results . One week follow up appointments after the surgeries results were also very good. The staffs at the clinic are also very helpful. Overall I am very happy with the outcome. Saeeda J. Vanya

With my grandma's negative outcome from her cataract extraction ending in blindness, and my past experience with anesthesia sensitivity, my apprehension was high as I was being prepared for surgery. Thank God for Dr Shieh's reassuring voice, outstanding skill and professionalism. He and his entire team have been there like Angels. Both my eyes got done with no problem. I would like to say I am grateful to my eye surgeon, Dr. Eric Shieh, for all his great work. After the surgery I feel happy although at first I felt not comfortable with my eyes, but now everything is good. I am free from glasses and I can drive at night without them. I wish my eyes surgery had been done earlier.
