Pro: Descent prices and selection. Contacts in stock.
Cons: Will not put new lenses in glasses frames purchased at Costco if it is either purchased mire than 2 years (which is same valid time as a prescription) or the jab rejects the frame for any reason. What this mess is that your $300 frame you bought a Costco is only good for one prescription.
Conclusion: They force you to buy new glasses frame each time you get a new prescription. Your Rayban or Oakleys will be useless in 2 years.
Got my first glasses here. Brand new glasses had scratches on the frame. Had to come back while they ordered new frames. Come back a second time and the employee working took 20 mins to find and understand that I was there once already. They only needed to switch out my frames. Overall frustrating experience.
I was hesitant to visit this location due to its low rating and negative reviews, but since it was the closest option, I decided to give it a try. I needed new glasses after being quoted $750 at another place, so I checked out Costco and was pleasantly surprised by the great prices and variety.
I ultimately chose two pairs of Kate Spade glasses: one for reading and computer use and the other for prescription sunglasses. Picking my favorite frame was the hardest/longest part, but the young lady who assisted me made the process smooth, quick, and comfortable. She clearly explained everything, including my insurance coverage (VSP).
I was thrilled to pay only $200 for both pairs instead of $750 for just one. The entire experience was fantastic, and I plan to return for my new glasses. I was notified that both pairs were ready about a week and a half ago, which I thought was impressively quick!
Decided to go to Costco for more affordable options, I do not have insurance. Eye exam for prescription glasses is currently $90 and exam for contact lenses currently $135. Called and booked an appt for prescription glasses. Went thru the routinely eye tests before I was seen by Dr Arii Nguyen, personally for me she was great, quick, and straightforward, as someone who's worn glasses since I was a child understood what I was told. There is a variety of frames, price ranging from what I saw $64 - $400 if not more or less. There are luxury brand named as well as non brand named frames. Staff member was helpful, straightforward, asked if I wanted transition lenses (clear lens turns dark like sunglasses) opted out. There are different levels of how thick the lens can be depending on your prescription, the thinner the lens the price increases, staff member gave me recommendation in regards to that, also offered additional $13 if I wanted to round the corner of the lens so it doesn't protrude out as much from the frame, opted out. Over all, frames I picked out came to about $65, lens came out to about $85 including anti scratch and anti glare which is something I have had to pay additional for each one at my previous optometrist, eye exam $90, total came out to about $240. Costco will contact you when your glasses are ready takes about 7-10 business days. This was a very reasonable and affordable price for me this is the least amount I have ever spent on a pair of glasses I have paid anywhere from $400-$600 for a pair in the past. Satisfied with the service.

Rude and unprofessional technician. I placed an order for a prescription pair on a RayBan pair from the limited selection they have and when I came to collect it, I noticed they they do not sit straight on my face. The technician was dismissive about the issue, saying it's because the ears are not symmetric. When I mentioned I have been wearing glasses for over 20 years haven't had this issue with my previous frames, he got condescending, saying he's been wearing glasses for over 50 and only wears high end italian frames and not cheap chinese frames, implying it was my fault for choosing the cheap frames from Costco. It felt that they just wanted me to take the glasses and go away instead of fixing the problem. When I asked what can I do if I am not happy, he said talk to the manager and stormed away. Recommend everyone to avoid getting prescription glasses here.
Made an appointment a long time ago, they told me VSP wasn't in network but everyone else told me it is, checked and found that VSP premium is in network for them. Switched my VSP plan paying more money, call to make an appointment, now I'm told VSP is out of network, only Costco is in network for THE FRAMES!!!!!!!!!??!!!???????????
What a spacious, wonderful and patient experience with me and my 3 required prescriptions- frames needed. Mom also required three pairs: reading cheaters over contacts, indoor distance and sunglasses for distance. Mom needed the same! That's 6 pairs and some picky chicks. We knocked out six gorgeous frames and lenses in a snap. YES, they take VSP!
Saul is the man in demand there. He's just amazing. Great bedside manner and listens to your needs. Just fabulous. Bringing my BFF in this Saturday for her new haul next.
