Dr. Joseph Decker

Dr. Decker has been taking care of my eyes for about 15 years now. In him I have complete trust and confidence. He is very attentive and very down to earth. I appreciate his sense of humor and never doubt that the health of my eyes is as important to him as it is to me. He explains things to me--and answers any and all of my questions. I also deeply appreciate his staff. In my experience with some other physicians, their staff did not reflect the same spirit as the doctor, and that is sad. That is NOT the case with Dr. Decker. His staff is responsive, kind, professional and very sensitive. I actually enjoy my appointments with Dr. Decker for I know there will be no stress or tension involved. FIVE STARS FOR DR. Dr. Decker is an exceptional eye surgeon. He is professional, and listens to the patient. I have severe dry eyes due to an autoimmune problem. Dr. Decker has installed tear duct plugs more than once & without any discomfort. He has also continued to advise me on medication for this issue. His staff is wonderful . They have done the paperwork, cheerfully, to help me deal with the medication cost with Medicare, my supplemental insurance & now a new online pharmacy. I should add that Dr. Decker did both of my cataract surgeries in 2001 & 2003 with excellent results. I am continually grateful for the quality of my surgery and also his advice in choosing the right implant for me. I love my multifocal implants.

I have been a patient of Dr. Decker for 40 years and he has provided me with outstanding service. He fitted me with contact lenses when other doctors told me that I couldn't wear them. 20 years later he performed eye surgery on me that eliminate my need to wear corrective lens. I have found Dr. Deckers services to be most professional and of the highest quality.

No relation to the Dr but he became my ophthalmologist over 20 yrs ago after I'd moved to SJ. My then-SJ Council rep in a door-to-door canvas noted my surname and volunteered it was her ophthalmologist's surname. I was looking for a new eye Dr. and she recommended him. Within the last 9 yrs I've been under close observation and treatment for angle-closure glaucoma and I've been grateful for Dr. Decker's expertise. Also nice to have a Dr. who relates to travel to far away places!

Dr. Decker is a superb doctor and has been taking care of our family for years, keeping us active and carefully tended to all the needs of our eyes. I'm 84 years old and my husband is 95 this year. We depend on Dr. Decker to keep us going.

I've been Dr. Decker's patient for several years. He's been data focused when providing diagnosis, also resourceful in terms of obtaining cutting-edge eye drops to better treat IOP. Covid has made visits more challenging, but that's the new norm.

An experienced and knowledgeable ophthalmologist with a caring staff made me a customer for life. I highly recommend him.
