Eye To Eye Optometry

My experience wasn't great but certainly not as bad as other reviews. I came for prescription sunglasses. They have quite a nice and large selection compared to other optometry shops in the area. They do watch you like a hawk as they unlock each case so that's a little uncomfortable. But once I chose, the ordering process was fairly quick. It took about two weeks to arrive which is slightly long but tolerable. When I picked them up, they just gave them to me and we were done. No seating me down to try them on and make adjustments. Just,"here you go", then stopped paying attention to me. No giant or thank you. So they're not super friendly. But they did a great job with my glasses, so I guess it's all good.

Emilie is a very capable Dr. I see so many negative reviews here so just want to give 5 stars to offset other ratings. Her staff are very capable too, just a little shy. If you need your glasses adjusted then just ask them.

I wonder how this place still allowed to be open. Just a warning to the community, make sure they don't force you to buy your first set of contacts lens in exchange for your prescription. Thats illegal and against the FTC Law. They did that to me but good thing I caught on and confronted them. They are doing some really shady stuff. Take your business somewhere else, trust the google review.

I recently visited Eye to Eye Optometry, and it was an interesting experience. The front desk staff, mostly Asian girls, were friendly and helpful when it came to picking out glasses. However, my experience with the doctor left much to be desired. When I initially spoke to her about my vision concerns, particularly about my eyesight worsening, she dismissed my comments and quickly changed the subject. I also asked if she could write me a note for work because I struggle with poor vision at night. She flat-out refused, saying it would make her "sound crazy" to write such a note. This took me by surprise, as I was genuinely concerned about my vision affecting my work. Well, I wasn't sure who would sound crazier--me for asking or her for refusing! Things took an even weirder turn when she suddenly became fascinated with my eyelashes. Yes, that's right--lashes. She asked me to demonstrate how I put them on, which, frankly, was a bit out of left field. Next thing I know, she's grabbing my phone and sending herself a link to the lashes I bought, as if we'd turned the exam room into a beauty salon. Overall, the front desk was great, but my interaction with the doctor was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Ignore the hysterical negative reviews. Emilie is a UC Berkeley-trained optometrist; she is both professional and experienced. Her staff are skillful clinicians and their service is first class. Highly recommended.

At first I gave this place stars, but since they never got back to me with an appointment, I didn't even want to give you one star, but since the lady gave me a couple of chocolate chip cookies for waiting in my God daughter while she chose her glasses, I figured two stars we're good enough.

THIS IS THE WORST OPTOMETRY STORE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE
