Lighthouse Vision

After five years of chronic headaches, I was about ready to give up when I found myself at lighthouse vision. It has been by far the most effective treatment out of everything I've tried so far. My case is complex so I can't attest to a complete fix but my quality of life has improved A LOT. I could barely read for five minutes before I started and now I'm reading entire books! I was so excited I ended up reading five books over the course of two weeks. I'm so grateful for Dr. Murray and Deena's expertise. Sessions were always varied and appropriately challenging. I can fully attest to Deena's skill as a therapist. Five stars. I highly recommend.

Dr. Murray and Deena have been life savers for my 8 year old daughter. Dr. Murray got to the bottom of her vision issues, when her previous opthalmologist kept assuring us her vision was fine. Deena is the best vision therapist you can find. She is kind, patient, and helps keep my somewhat inattentive daughter on task. I recommend them to everyone. we drive over an hour just to see Deena and Dr. Murray. I have so much to thank them for. My daughter's future looks a lot brighter thanks to them.

Working with Deena improved my migraines from 2-3 per week to 2-3 per month, and even those are less severe than before. My vision also improved in general. Lighthouse Vision Therapy does excellent work and I would highly recommend them!

The Pros: Dr Murray and his staff are welcoming, kind and very knowledgeable. We've seen three developmental optometrists in the area and I would recommend him highly. He was particularly good with my 7 year old, putting him at ease and helping him feel comfortable and confident. The office environment is also friendly to sensory sensitivities. The Cons: We were charged several hundred dollars more than we were quoted, and more than double the cost of other providers in the area. The front office said the price change should have been discussed with us in advance, but that doesn't help the considerable sticker shock. One star subtracted for administration.

Dr Murray is the most knowledgeable optometrist that I ever met in my life! I have a lot of eye issues and have seen many optometrists and can confidently say - he is truly exceptional. My whole family goes to this clinic. Highly recommend!

The doctor is good, but the front office is just unresponsive. They have limited resources and cannot accommodate new patients for vision therapy but they still do evaluations and charge a lot of money (and most insurance providers don't cover it)

Dr Murray and Deena are/were so vital to my recovery. There is nothing they cannot handle when it comes to vision issues. I had vision problems related to a history of brain injury from 20+ years ago. I broke down crying during my first session with Dr Murray. The tears were from relief. Relief that I had finally found providers who understood and had the experience to know and feel what I was going through. Both Dr Murray and Deena are highly competent in their field. You won't find providers that know their stuff as well as they do. Dr Murray provided a thorough exam and comprehensive plan. He would sit down with you, really listen and talk with you. He is incredibly understanding. He knew what I needed to get better. Deena provided a comprehensive thorough plan for me as well. She is wonderful and funny too. They both do their best and give it their best to get me better. You have to be the one to diligently come in and practice at home. Their methods are very effective. Coming from the East Bay, they accommodated me as well. Since my sessions with them, I have continued to improve not just in vision but in other ways. I am forever grateful for all that they have done. Thank you so much Dr Murray and Deena.
