Seven years ago, my new optometrist sent me to Dr. Yang to check a risk of glaucoma due to a narrow angle condition. Patiently, Dr. Yang saw me every 6-9 months to monitor the evolution of my angles. This year, he decided the time had come and did a cataract surgery and installed modern light adjustable lenses. As a skilled and seasoned surgeon, he was able to remove most of my astigmatism. For the first time in my life, I can do a lot of activities without wearing glasses. And I'm no longer at risk of glaucoma. :) I'm thankful to Dr. Yang and his staff for the way they treated me during this scary (to me) and lengthy procedure (it takes a few months for the healing to complete and the lenses to be adjusted with UVs).

This review is specifically for Jennifer at Dr. Decker's and Dr Yang's front desk. I called on Wednesday, May 28th, to book an appointment due to a sudden increase in floaters, which can signal retinal detachment. I told her I have an Anthem Blue Cross PPO plan that doesn't require referrals, but she wrongly insisted I needed one. My insurance even called her directly to confirm I didn't. She said she'd call me back by Friday to schedule. It's now Saturday, May 31st, and the office is closed for the weekend. She never followed up, leaving me waiting while my symptoms worsen. I never even got to book an appointment. New floaters can indicate a serious eye emergency, and delays in care can lead to permanent vision loss. With no voicemail or email for follow-up, this review is the only way to voice my concern. If Jennifer didn't want to take me as a patient, she should have just told me so I could've found another doctor without wasting a week.

They would not see my father, because he has auto immune issues. This prevents him from getting the most recent booster, however, he has been vaccinated. We have been going there for over 10 years, we will never go there again! Beware

Super rude front desk. Hang up on me immediately when they heard we don't have insurance.
