I am writing this review (while still waiting) to express my disappointment regarding my recent appointment on 10/7/24. Despite scheduling an appointment for 10:30 AM, it's 11:30 and still i am not seen by doctor.
This is not the first time I have experienced delays in appointments at this practice.
While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, consistent delays are frustrating and disrespectful to patients' time.
After asking an employee, i was explained that doctor schedules 3 appointments for the same time slot...

Dr Prestera treated my eye infection quickly and with great care. His explanations as to my situation and how to correct it were terrific and my eye improved in a few days following his advice. A very knowledgeable MD with great patient-care attitude. Highly recommend him and his team of assistants. They, too, were friendly and very knowledgeable. Bravo to the entire team!!!

Consistently runs late to schedule appointments, by 30-60+ minutes. Arriving early and or on-time of schedule appointments will not results in being seen by the Dr. On time. Generally, the intake of nurse taking standard eye measurements is quick, but waiting to see the Dr. Is not. I have had over 5 visits and none have been even close to the schedule time.
Although his staff and Dr. PRESTERA is knowledgeable, the office and customer service of of a Dr.s visit is lacking.

I just came back from 8 am appointment without even seeing the doctor. A girl sitting at the front desk informed me that my Aetna insurance does not cover so I had to return home. What a waste of my time and ruining my day. What kind of practice they are having to the patient. They should have known whether I am covered or not when I make an appointment. In addition she should called me the fact she found out first time.

Excellent physician. Great patient communication. He did my eye surgery and for the first time in my life, I can see 20/20! He truly cares about all people. He sees many people of all races, colors, creeds and national origin. I think he's a nice guy, too. He speaks Spanish as well as English. He's got a frickin' M.D., Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins! Few people in the world are that smart. He took care of my sister when she was on Medi-Cal and he doesn't need a lot of money. When he knew I was broke and couldn't afford my co-pay, he wrote off some of the bills for me. He has many machines in his office so it's a one-stop shop, not like other places where you have to make extra appointments. You can't go wrong with this guy.
