I had cataract surgery 3 years ago, not here but only because my insurance changed. I had an irritation in my eye that was operated on, so I made an appointment. My appointment was at 1:30 and they took me at 1:30. What? The office staff was extremely friendly, the office is very clean and nice. I filled out my paperwork and I was brought in immediately. I had my eye test, I was dilated so the ophthalmologist could examine my eyes. I opted for both because why not. Anyhow, he saw what was irritating my left eye which is where I had the surgery, there was a small stitch that was still left in my eye from 3 years ago. He was able to remove it after applying some numbing eye drops. Very nice very friendly. I had Dr Prestera. So glad I found a great eye doctor and if I ever have to have surgery in my other eye I know where to go. Definitely five stars. Very professional, great experience. My husband is going to schedule an eye exam here as well. There's plenty of parking, easy access in and out. Photo of me dilated for laughs lol.

Exceptional Care at Prestera Eye Medical Group
The entire staff at Prestera Eye Medical Group is truly exceptional. From the moment you arrive, the team is remarkably attentive and respectful, creating a welcoming and calm environment. It is clear they are highly knowledgeable in their field and genuinely patient with you--a refreshing change from offices that try to rush patients.
I had my left eye surgery performed by Dr. Howard Guan, and I am extremely happy with the results. Dr. Guan is an outstanding ophthalmologist who combines a high level of professionalism with remarkable skill. His reputation for having a steady hand is well-deserved, and it instilled great confidence in me before and during the procedure.
If you are looking for top-tier eye care and surgical expertise, I highly recommend Dr. Guan and Prestera Eye Medical Group.
We are residential care providers for individuals with special needs. Today, we accompanied one of our clients--who lives with mental and intellectual disabilities--to an eye exam with Dr. Howard Guan at Prestera.
Unfortunately, the appointment involved an excessive wait of over 90 minutes, not due to medical procedures or patient volume, but primarily due to the doctor engaging in extended personal conversations with co-workers and scrolling on a personal device. During this time, our client became visibly frustrated, pacing the halls and speaking in a raised voice due to the prolonged delay. This behavior was directly related to the wait and the uncertainty about when he would be seen.
Our staff located Dr. Guan, who was still engaged in casual conversation, and respectfully reminded him of our client's needs and the extended wait time. Even then, there was an additional delay of 5-10 minutes before our client was finally seen.
While we understand that delays can occur in any medical setting, we expect that wait times be the result of attentive patient care--not avoidable socializing. For individuals with special needs, predictability and timely service are crucial. Delays without justification can cause significant distress and behavioral escalation.
We hope this concern will be taken seriously and that Prestera's providers will strive to offer more respectful and considerate care moving forward--particularly for those in vulnerable populations.
Dr. Prestera and Dr. Guan are excellent providers of eye care. They really listen and take the time to explain. Their professionalism is top notch. Would recommend to anyone!
I have no complaints. Normal wait time for an eye appointment, which was around 10 mins. The overall process was easy, timely, and non eventful. Everyone had smiles and seemed nice. I would suggest this optometrist.
Dr Prestera's practice is professional, clean and capable. Services and associated costs are explained in advance. The Dr. is personable, professional and explains findings, treatment options and health expectations clearly. Overall, a pleasurable experience and it created confidence in my treatment plan.
Brought my elderly father here. The staff is super kind and works with you on best dates for reservations. My dad speaks only Spanish and 84 yrs and the staff is very patient and kind. Highly recommend and thank you staff for your patience.
Dr. Prestera and his staff are true professionals. I find each person in their office I interact with (front desk, insurance, technicians) to be extremely helpful and thorough in their job functions. I have extreme allergies and they document items thoroughly and try hard to accommodate me without making me uncomfortable.
I remember the first time in the office during COVID, there was a person cleaning every little item in the waiting room to all of the patient rooms and staff areas. They were so diligent. I felt safe and cared for, where I would not say the same in other physicians offices.
Their focus is on the patient and not their weekend plans, etc. The office is immaculate. Dr. Prestera runs a tight ship! Who else would you want caring for your eye sight!
Thank you to the whole team. I know it takes a village to operate as smoothly as you all do on a daily basis.
