The staff is very friendly and understanding of my needs . Im an adult with autism and times have been stressful lately but at Southgate Optometry they were able to work with my ability and understand what I was trying to say . I enormously appreciate that . Plus I got a really cute pair of frames . I can't wait to be able to pick them up .

I had a good experience about a year ago when I actually made an appointment.
But now I'm receiving text messages about an appointment I never made. Along with a threat of a $50 no-show fee. I thought it was a spam/scam message but they called to confirm the appointment, and I let them know I never made an appointment to begin with. They helped me cancel it but I'm still receiving the threats of a no show fee. It could be that their schedule hasn't been updated yet so I'm just putting the information out there for anyone else that is having the same issue as I am.

Service is excelent from staff to doctors, all very kind and patient. The one thing to work on though is to somehow speed up the prescription process, having to wait for my glasses 2 to 3 weeks seems a bit of a stretch.

I always go here for my eye appointments, but their service has deteriorated over the years. Firstly, I went to have my glasses tightened (literally JUST the temples). After getting them back, my glasses feel very different and my vision is disoriented when I am wearing them. I have no idea what they did to them to cause such distortion. I've had glasses tightened in other places and have never had this happen.
Secondly, they no longer call to update you about your glasses being ready for pickup. If it hadn't been for going myself in person to see if they were ready, I would have never known that they had been there for who knows how long.

Website and google says they close at 6 but I called at 5:27 pm and reached only a voicemail, no phone ringing just directly to voicemail . Maybe they don't answer calls after 5:00pm . Not sure what happened, called repeatedly but directly to voicemail with a message saying I have reached them after hours.

Incredible staff, the selection has changed a bit, and now offer Safety Glasses, but a small selection upon request, they do not have a shelf. Wait time was not to bad, about 10- 15 at the most. When you place your order they typically can take about 2 weeks but sometimes it's less than that.
