I tried to give a good review but terribly disappointed this time. I would like to share my experiences . I got a pair of glasses but frame was broken somehow, then it was fixed. However, broken again in two weeks. So, I requested to change the frame, ordered it. It took 10days, once i called it was shipped, then its on the way, now, my glasses was lost. I don't know what I have to do I really need my glasses, it effects my work. Some people give good review, but now I can't at all. They never call or text regarding this situation, no apology at all.
Iam still looking for my glasses, waiting waiting...
The eye doctor is amazing. Patient, compassionate, informative and friendly.
The frame department is horrendous. In general, there always seems to be a long wait whether there are 3 staff members or more. Seems like most of them do not want to be there and do not greet or acknowledge you even when you try to make eye contact. If anything, they seemed annoyed and unapproachable/avoidant, even of each other at times, not making eye contact when asked questions by customers or other staff.
I actually liked the first staff that helped me, a white guy with glasses and long brown hair in a ponytail. Patient, chill, informative. I bought 2 pairs of glasses with him.
Unfortunately the pair with the transition lenses makes me feel dizzy even after 2 weeks, so I went today to get regular sunglass lenses, but he wasn't there.
I went to get a number to be helped, but there was none. I asked a young Asian dude with long black hair in a backknot if they had any more numbers and he didn't look me in the eye, apologize, or say anything at all. He did fix the number ticket machine, but with a bad attitude and banged it shut loudly. Felt aggressive and really turned me off from getting frames or repairs/updates to my glasses there in the future. I just left before they called my number and decided to get my lenses replaced elsewhere.
Look, we're all going through something these days. No need to take your ish out on innocent people
Came here for eye exam before my shopping trip. It was a breeze! It was very easy to make an appointment on their website at SFO Eye Care. When I arrived, I got to see the doctor right away. They did all the check-ups and contact lens fitting professionally. I'm very happy with my new contacts. They also gave me a lot of tips on how to take care of my dry eyes. Really good experience. I would totally come back.
I had an excellent experience here. Kenny, the optical manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful. Even waiting in line, I could tell he is absolutely devoted to making the customer's experience as enjoyable as possible. I was visiting San Francisco from Los Angeles and needed to get some new contacts ASAP because my vision was half blurry. He did not hesitate to do what he could to help, and he was incredibly empathetic to my predicament.
I had an amazing experience at K&K Optometry. The receptionist were incredibly helpful with verifying my insurance and making me feel comfortable during my appointment. Today, I saw Dr. Hung who was extremely knowledgeable and reassured any questions I had. I've also seen other doctors at their practice and they've been equally helpful!
Absolutely the most incompetent department imaginable. 5 trips, 2 redos, the last by manager Kenny, and it was apparent that refund was the only way forward. First saw double vision peripherally in turning to the right. Misinformed personnel told me all prescriptions are that way. So while driving if you need to turn your head sideways to see what's on your right, you will see double. Then I had to raise my head to toward the ceiling in order to access the reading prescription because another incompetent personnel did not know how to mark the reading line on progressive lenses. And the progression was unsmooth, having to do with the curvature of lens. Just more sloppy, unskilled work. My independent optometrist advised me of Costco's several errors, even noting them so Costco could make the corrections. Kenny, mgr, begged for a chance to "make it right." Instead he made it very wrong again. This time there was merely a sliver of a reading prescription, basically no magnification field. If the manager of the department is so incompetent, I will not make the 1 hour trip there for a SIXTH TIME, AND, I will be cancelling my Costco Membership and writing to this incompetent company that caused me so much time, aggravation and inconvenience.
Customer services were so bad! My mom picked up her farsighted and reading glasses at South San Francisco Costco vision center. When she put those two glasses on, everything looks distortion. Obviously, the quality of these two pairs of the glasses were bad. We requested vision center to fix the issue as the good quality glasses should look everything clear without any distortion. The vision center staff refuse to fix it nor issue refunds for the bad quality products.
My family has been going to Costco for eye exams for a few years now and the staff here are always friendly and have excellent service. Eye exams for kids are comprehensive and the doctors take the time to evaluate our vision. Reasonable prices since we don't have vision insurance.
