Like the doctor but the front desk people need to be replaced. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then told I was first in line 9 times until the clock hit 12, then I was told to leave my name and number, then the called ended. I left my name and number and still haven't heard back. Two days later. This office also during covid. Wouldn't let my blind wife stand just inside the doors so she would be safe. At that time people were getting robbed and crime was way out of control. So I had to leave and be with my wife so she would be safe. The office wanted to charge me 75 dollars for canceling my appointment. I was forced to move to a different doctor. It was obvious that this office doesn't care at all about anyone's safety, even a blind person.
This office makes it quite difficult to book an appointment over the phone. I've called this office multiple times to attempt to schedule a visit. Long wait times and no follow up. Perhaps, you all should look into having an option where patients can book appointments online. Get with the times, like other entities! I will seek eye care services elsewhere.
I called and politely asked if they take my insurance and the lady was rude about it. It was a question. I don't want to waste your time. Then she put me on hold for over 15 minutes without informing me for what . She just said ok and then music played then the called dropped after waiting a long time. I'm assuming she hung up on me because it went to lunch time. She was highly unprofessional and her tone showed that she did not want to be there. Very odd first experience but I didn't not see the other reviews before calling. I will not call back.
I came on to write a negative review for the receptionist, Angelica, but I'm not surprised I'm not the first. She has very poor customer service and requires more training. From my first phone call to her, it already seemed like I was bothering her. I asked for advice from the doctor on how to prepare for my mom's appointment and she said "I don't know" and told me to wait for the appointment. Fast forward to the appointment, the nurse was attentive and caring but the doctor came in for no more than 5 minutes, very short of words, and just referred us. But it's okay because I understand he did not want to be liable for anything he said. However, I felt a he could have shown a bit more concern. Just because my mother had diabetes, they brushed her eye blurriness for normal and rushed her out. We did not hear any reassuring words besides 'save your questions for the retinal specialist.'
Back to Angelica, had the receptionist gave a good first and last impression, I could have given a higher rating. I understand that you may be the only receptionist and may be swamped but it's no way to rush people off the phone. I've been a receptionist myself and have been in the same boat with phone calls maxed, people waiting in line, but that's why we have sticky notes. Take notes, hear us out, address our concerns, and be honest. In my situation, you should have acknowledged and empathized with my concern, apologize that you cannot forward our referral right now as you are by yourself but will get to it as soon as it slows down. Tell me you've taken notes to remind yourself and maybe, you could have gone the extra mile by offering to call the place of referral since I gave a name. Instead, you rudely said all you can do is go off the referral without checking to see if you can do anything else, asked me "what do you want me to do?" with attitude, sighed heavily and placed me on hold but hung up on me. She even try to say that my mother is not the only patient and she cannot stop what she is doing for me. She said there are other people who come in for urgent matters as well. I never told her to stop, drop and roll. I just wanted her to put more effort into helping everyone as if she's scheduling her own mom but she just tries to get you off the phone asap.
The worst part is, after emphasizing how we want a sooner appointment, she purposely calls the place of referral and schedules an appointment 1 month out. Who does that? Remember KARMA is real and you will remember my experience when it's your turn to schedule an appointment and remember that you could have and should have handled this matter better. Learn some customer service. It's more than just a smile, please and thank you. It's treating customers like you'd want yourself or family to be treated. If that's your idea of how you want to be treated, you have some real low expectations and the company needs to re-assess their employee skills or lack of.
If I could, this office deserves a negative star if it exists for the worst medical practice. I called regarding an urgent matter, eyes severly swollen due to an unbelievable amount of styes surrounding the eyes. Scary red with a white film surrounding the pupils. Previously been informed by the doctor if the issue remains untreated, my daughter can lose her sight which is considered a severe case. But today while, again attempting to schedule a follow up appt, receptionist claims my daughters case is nNot urgent since I waited over a year to schedule a follow up an. doctor will no longer refill the prescription since it's been so long. Blamed me for waiting so long to schedule an appt. Thing is, this office is always beyond booked and last attempt to schedule an appt, they're calender was so full they could not schedule one. Unfortunately, nothing is available to cure the health issue and instead I'm trapped with giving my young child an antibiotic harming her immune system in exchange to keep her sight. It is unfortunate how unsympathetic the staff is towards families in need of medical help and instead add to the stress we already feel towards our ill. I do not recomment this office whatsoever and instead will be filing a complaint against the medical board to conduct a thorough inspection and evaluation of the type of care this so called medical practice offier families.
My grandmas surgery was easy to schedule in Spanish, Melissa took time with me and my sister to give all appointments thanks.
The phone calls department sucks I am from two days and they are not answering. Even though I was the first caller as well.
Broke my glasses in October. They ordered me new frames, finally got a call after two months to come in on Thursday the 18th is what they said. Missed my appointment and now they refuse to reschedule another appointment. Worse service ever.
