Ophthalmology department failure in cataract surgery. Dr Sarah Khandan did both my eyes at one time for cataract surgery and they both have to be replaced! Absolutely ghosted me when suspected something wasn't right- never heard from her again. Dr Francois, I saw after her and he did tests and ghosted me and never heard from him again. Both doctors failed to be real, caring doctors. Fourth doctor finally said what I already knew, but the previous doctors wouldn't say, was I needed them replaced. A second lens replacement is more risky than the first and I have to go through this again next week. The fourth doctor, a good ophthalmologist, referred me to a retinal specialist to replace lens --one at a time. Dr Sarah Khandan shouldn't be practicing on people's eyes at all and just leave them hanging with her mistakes. A retinal specialist should be replacing eye lenses and not just ophthalmologists. This is not an isolated case with Kaiser ophthalmologists.

I was having problems with vision in my left eye - i first consulted with the help desk who then told me I had to call Kaiser's Stockton Ophthalmology department for an appointment. The person who answered the phone said someone will call me back to set up an appointment and 12 hours later still have not had a call back. I am told it is a possible detached retina but evidently at Kaiser this is not important. Very bad service, and probably a product of bad leadership at Kaiser. I would not recommend Kaiser to anyone.

I stopped by on my way back from the pharmacy to possibly see about picking up a pair of glasses from my prescription for reading, but wasn't sure if it was going to be a hassle. Sometimes I just drop by to look and see if maybe I can get something done without it being a long wait or a lot of effort. Wow, today was the day because everyone in this department was there to help! I registered, picked a pair of frames, had my prescription set, ordered my glasses and paid in less than 30 minutes. Amazing!

When my wife and I went to Kaiser Permanente Optical Dept. we were greeted by a very pleasant and helpful receptionist. The receptionist directed us to the specialist Vanessa Bautista. Vanessa Bautista was very courteous, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. She guided us every step of the way! In my honest opinion, VANESSA BAUTISTA IS A GEM OF THE KAISER PERMANENTE OPTICAL DEPARTMENT.

Stockton Kaisers Optical Department was fantastic. Did not have to wait for the Optician or the glasses department after my appointment. Everything was explained to me very clearly
