Dr. JP Hamel

After having to travel out of town for eye care for many years due to my insurance, I discovered that they added Turlock Eyecare to my plan. I found their website first and was able to learn a bit about the office, the staff and what they had to offer. I was able to choose online several dates/times that were convenient for me and even had my choice of doctors to see. The staff scheduled and confirmed my appointment very quickly. My first visit was a success. The office was very clean and the staff very professional and friendly. The doctor I chose is great (Dr. Hamel) and I felt like I received quality care. As it turned out I did need glasses and the process of picking out new frames and going over the financial details were very smooth. Just recently I had my annual check-up and again I was very pleased. I highly recommend this office to anyone who wants quality care in a comfortable environment.

Before Turlock Eyecare I had a terrible experience with an optometrist in Santa Cruz so I was nervous to go to another optometrist. Collin Robillard put me at ease right away. He listened to my concerns and was able to fix my prescription so I stopped getting headaches and recommend different contacts and a different fit that work so much better for my job without drying out my eyes. He cares about his patients and makes the whole exam conversational and makes you feel like his appointment with you is his top priority instead of rushing through to get on to the next patient. I definitely recommend this place if you've had bad experiences in the past or if you're nervous about trying a new optometrist.

The staff are friendly, intelligent, and helpful, and Dr. Hamel is brilliant. It is clear that he loves his job and actually gets very excited to explain the intricacies of eye conditions; he is also very thorough and I know that I am getting the absolute best care available for my eyes. I've been a patient for ten years, and will continue to be. If you are looking for a fabulous optometrist in the Turlock area, you will not be disappointed here.

Our family always enjoys going to see dr Robillard. He is so informational and truely gives me all my options. As some who has been slowly losing her vision he makes sure to give me all my options. Allie in the front has been very help using our dual insurance. Dual insurance can be tricky and hard to understand but she takes the time to explain.

Very clean, bright, attractive office. Very nice people working there. Dr Hamel was very nice and helped me relax with his little jokes, etc. Very nice visit.

Knowledgeable and friendly, highly recommend Dr. Hamel to everyone!
