Geoffrey Rice, MD

dr. rice is an EXCELLENT physician and frankly is one of the brightest, most talented, highly competent, intelligent medical professionals to ever grace the ukiah valley. he has been a superb eye doctor to me as well as my family & friends. as for the comments that he is rude, that's ridiculous. he's clinical and professional. he's there to do a job (a job that he does EXTREMELY well), not entertain you. thus said, i've personally found dr. rice to be professional, friendly, kind, charming, & very interesting to speak with. i would HIGHLY recommend geoff rice. his soon approaching retirement is a sad loss to the community.

I took my son here for an eye exam after being referred by his doctor and when we went to the appointment I found him very rude and unprofessional. He scolded my son for messing up the first letter of the test and said he should know his letters, well first of all my son struggles with a learning disability and his emotions, instead of Dr. Rice giving me a second to console him and let him know to take his time and try again he just scolded him for not knowing his letters. When the nurse, who was SO sweet had him do the test he did it so well with no issue, even when he got to the letters that were blurry but I think he was nervous and messed up and then Dr.Rice scolding him made it worse. Also during the exam I seen him pick his nose and not even sanitize his hands because he was not wearing gloves. I was there for almost 2 hours for a simple eye exam. Worst experience and wouldn't recommend him for kids because he seems to lack patience or empathy.

My daughter was referred to see Dr Rice yesterday, he was able to see her today. He did a simple eye exam and found the issue without hesitation knew what to do. Very fast very professional very direct got straight to the point and explained the issue. Dr Rice is and has always been a well known Ophthalmologist in Ukiah and if you get to be one of his patients without a doubt you will understand why. Definitely a 5 star doctor.

I needed an eye Dr on short notice for a serious condition. Dr Rice's office took me in quickly the same day. I found him courteous, professional, and a gentleman. If some one had a poor experience with him I would wonder if they contributed to the friction.

I actually saw Dr. Adkins in this office and couldn't be more impressed. The doctor is amazing. The staff is compassionate and professional. I highly recommend this entire office!

After waiting months for app I called just to inform them I would be a few min late after the reseptionist put me on hold 4time before ever asking what I needed then told me she would have to rescedual me to august after waiting 3mo no way is 4 mo waiting not a chance I will not recommend this office ever!! No stars

I found him rude and insulting.i will never go to him again.after talking to quit a few people I was told the same thing!
