As a preface, I loved the opportunity to order new lenses and have them installed in my own frames. And I was very happy with the result, the frames remained in good shape (and all the bends we had tediously done to fit them to my assymetric face were unchanged!). And the lenses appear to be high quality. The process, however, was frustrating. Their on line materials implied they would be done in 7-10 days. When I emailed asking where they were, I got a generic answer explaining that their quality processes "take time", certain lens coatings and tints "take time". I was without my glasses, which I depend on to drive, for nearly a month.
Lensabl was the SINGLE WORST CONSUMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
Here's what happened: I sent them brand-new Amazon Smart Frames to fit with prescription lenses. After not receiving the glasses/lenses and MULTIPLE unanswered emails, they finally admitted, they lost my original frames.
Then after multiple subsequent emails, they FINALLY agreed to buy me another pair, fit them with lenses, and ship them to Spain (where I had since moved - that's how long this took).
They mishandled the export paperwork, so Spanish customs seized the glasses. I spent MONTHS filling out forms in Spanish, paying almost $100 in taxes, and still never received them.
For nine months, I chased both Lensabl and customs while Lensabl mostly ignored my emails. It was an absolute nightmare. In the end, they refunded me only for the lenses, not the frames.
When the glasses were FINALLY sent back to Lensabl by Spanish customs and Lensabl re-shipped to my address, I discovered they even managed to order the wrong style frames. After all that time, money, and frustration, the replacement was USELESS.
I am almost 70, and I can honestly say I have NEVER EVER dealt with a company this incompetent. They mishandled my property, failed in the most basic customer service, and wasted nearly a year of my life.
Bottom line... DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR EYEWEAR. Their incompetence is STAGGERING!
I sent in Louis Vuitton glasses I'd received for Christmas (with the intention of putting prescription lenses into them). When I got them back, the frames were so tight, I couldn't get them on my face. I went to a local eyeglass store and asked if they could make them wider for me. They would only heat them up and try to change the shape a little at a time and they wouldn't heat them up any more for fear of breaking the glasses. I still can't wear them - they're too tight - and now I have $700 glasses that I can't wear. If I try to wear them I get a really bad headache because they just press against my head. I won't add prescription lenses to my own glasses again.
I previously used Lensabl and had a good experience with all aspects of the lens replacement process. Now, with an updated prescription, I wanted to use Lensabl again to replace my older lenses. They never shipped the box for my frames. Calling and leaving a voicemail resulted in NO return call. Emailing customer service was a joke - no response for days, and the response about no box received said, "the box was sent to the post office but they didn't send you the box"; checking with USPS showed the post office never received the box from Lensabl. I requested a new box to be sent and Lensabl refused to send another box. Two and a half weeks after paying for my replacement lenses, NOTHING had been accomplished and I cancelled my order. Their "customer service" is basically non-existent.
Horrible company! Horrible customer service and horrible workmanship with working on my frames. If there is a problem with their work, they are absolutely unresponsive. $577.00 to relens my silhouette frames and instead of taking care of a customer, they lean in to screwing with you and to obfuscate their customer service responsibilities. Don't be fooled into using them to relens your frames. We have many choices so don't let Lensabl be one of yours. The right lens is clearly not properly aligned.
Awful! The first pair had transition lenses that took half an hour to change. They took them back and replaced them with just my Rx and those have black dots in them!
Great experience replacing scratched prescription lenses. Lensabl was everything they advertised.

The entire process is seamless and very easy. Ten minutes on their website and in 2 days you receive a box to ship your frames in. Everything is priority 2 day mail so it's very efficient. Takes about 2 weeks, more or less, and you'll have your glasses back. (You can also track the progress of your order on line.)
My sunglasses were completed in a very timely manner. The quality assurance that went into my glasses is impeccable. The lenses and prescription are perfect. My sunglasses were returned in a very cool and elegant box along with lens cleaner and instructions to maintain the longevity of the lenses. Highly recommended if you want quality craftsmanship and get exactly what you need. Don't be surprised if you get an email from their CEO after you place your order! I'm a customer for life.
