Kyle Schell OD

I just started coming here after having a poor experience at a place close by and everything was great. The ladies are so friendly so helpful, While I was there a customer came in, just to say hi to them for no reason... It was just an excellent experience altogether. Dr Schell is a really nice person, and my appointment was smooth. I will definitely continue coming here.

I have been going to doctor Schell since 2005 and I am extremely pleased with him and his staff. Throughout the years I changed jobs and sometimes I could not get the insurance that he takes, but I always managed to go back to him. He is very professional, has a big selection of frames and his staff always greet you with a smile. I strongly believe they are the best in the High Desert.

I love coming to Dr. Schell's office because he's absolutely awesome. However, the lady working the front desk today 5/8/25 was awful. She had no problem talking to the other office ladies but smiling and making eye contact with me wasn't a skill. Since I wasn't getting any glasses and being used to paying for services beforehand and not after I was about to walk out without paying my Co-Pay. She yelled to remind me (which didn't bother me) and I immediately turned around and went to the desk. Pulled out my credit card and handed it to her. After she looked at it like she's never seen one before she scanned it and of course it cleared. Instead of handing me my part to sign I guess she looked up receipts in the computer and kept looking at my slip and her computer several times to make sure the numbers match. Look, 1st I have great credit and have never been in trouble for anything a day in my life, 2nd being a Store Manager for 20yrs I would never do such a thing in front of a customer, 3rd why would I use my husbands insurance to do something nefarious, and 4th I have a master's degree and own my own business and DO NOT need to steal anything. Afterwards she let me sign and gave me the worst Happy Mother's Day I've ever heard. Once again I love Dr. Schell but I would never set foot in that office ever again after being treated so horribly over an oversight.

Dr. Schell and his staff are absolutely top notch! I have been going to Dr. Schell for many years, he has always provided me with excellent care. Newest technology in his field that both he and his staff use to preform the exams. Dr. Schell recently discovered something a little off in one of my exams and recommend that I follow up with an ophthalmologist. So I did just that and he was spot on with what he found! I am so grateful for his knowledge and care. Because of his expertise I am now under the care of an ophthalmologist for my condition. Dr. Schell is simply the best!!

Dr. Schell is absolutely wonderful. Been going to hom for many years. The office ladies, are rude, not welcoming at all. It wouldn't hurt if they smiled once in awhile, and actually showed concern and kindness to the patients. The older ones, just need to go away, and retire.

Great eye doctor and office staff. I have been going here my whole life. Dr. Schell is knowledge, patient, kind, and informative. He always has the latest technology, and information to support good eye health. I have been wearing glasses since I was 7, and he has definitely made it a good experience.

Great doctor, but just like other doctors office staff can ruin the visits. Dr Schell is thorough and kind to his patients.The women up front are far from being as welcoming as the doctor. One had accused my daughter of wanting to use an old prescription ,because she asked to see it not knowing it was expired(we have insurance, the problem is not getting a new prescription, its having to see these ladies).They don't really like you buying glasses elsewhere, when asking for PD measurements on a prescription, lady was like "we should be charging extra for this" making it awkward and uncomfortable to get this information. I believe as having an exam taken for a prescription this information should be included, there's a column for it on the actual prescription

I had my first visit with Dr. Schell yesterday, all i can say is WOW!! This was the best optometrist visit i have ever been to, the office is clean, the doctor is clean, not to mention all of the equipment is state of the art technical. I would recommend this optometrist office to everyone. I will definitely be a life long patient of Dr. Schell.
