It's been since COVID that my two children and I have had exams done so I knew I was going in ready to stress out the crew but I was wrong. I learned more about my eye health during my visit than compared to the 10 years at my previous eye doctor. Pedro made me feel comfortable trying out contacts for the first time despite the struggle. My children left super confident with their selection of eye glasses because of JC, who stood out the most. Stanton has gained a loyal customer.

Wow!!! I was so impressed with the service and quality of the Stanton Optical in Visalia. My teenager lost her glasses and we needed another pair as quickly as possible. With a prescription from a different doctor in hand we decided to check them out. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Seth was absolutely amazing. We were in and out with a new pair of cute high quality glasses in less than an hour. We left so happy! Our whole family will be going back for new glasses soon.

They advertise free eye exams with glasses. But not completely true. They also advertise buy 2 for $79 that's not completely true. All of that is for quality prescription but you don't know if you qualify until you do the exam and the get two for $79 come after the exam. But you don't know til you do the exam. They don't make that clear. This store is a scam. First the eye exams is $109.75 and the frame start at $175.00. I received both of mine back and they were different so they sent one back. It took about a total of three weeks to get my glass just to be the wrong prescription. I honestly don't recommend. Cosco would've been better.

Went in not wanting to purchase glasses since it's not in my budget (I did go in knowing there would be an attempt to get me to purchase some, this was not the problem) I was told after the exam that my insurance was not contracted with them and I would have to pay $80 for the exam out of pocket by Lillian (or Liliana). When I asked why I would be paying the $80 and my ive never had an issue not getting glasses she then stated 'the rules recently changed'. They should've told me BEFORE my exam that I would be paying out of pocket (since they checked my insurance) Then I was told my insurance was only going to cover the cost if I purchased glasses plus my insurance would freeze until the next calendar year and was then told it would be $60 to buy the glasses. I opted to save $20 then was switched to a different employee who told me my insurance IS contracted and it would be $10 to pay for the exam. A third employee helped me and said the same, $10 for my appointment and then $10 for glasses. I don't appreciate being lied to as someone who didn't have a lot of money and felt I was being taken advantage of because I'm young and they assume I'm going to just pay was they tell me to. I will not be coming back. Forcing someone to purchase glasses is extremely disappointing. Not everyone can afford to purchase glasses immediately. I did appreciate the last employee who corrected all the mistakes. I am not one to complain but this was a terrible experience for me.

I ordered three sets of glasses. I won't go into the detail of what happened but I was ready to have this order canceled and go elsewhere. Fortunately Lily was working that day and instead of giving me a refund and having me start over somewhere else she said "let me help you with this". Hesitantly I agreed. Lily went above and beyond in order to make this right. I believe anyone can make a sale, But the person that takes care of a problem with nothing to gain is the true professional. Thank you Lily!!

I had a great experience there, The staff was great. The doctor helped me very efficiently and quickly.. Liliana gave me a great option to pay for most of my contacts and pay the rest later

The ladies in scrubs or whatever gray uniform they're wearing are not personable at all. They speak like they're regurgitating a memorized script. My appointment was at 2pm and it took 45 minutes for me to be seen. Then finally they called me back up, hoping it was for my prescription, but no. It was to inform me that I need to create an account for them to access my benefits. They let me know this at 3:30pm; 1.5 hours after I arrived and filled out my check in paperwork. The only one who was helpful was a man who I believe was the sales manager; he was able to assist and get me out of there quickly. Overall so annoying at how long it all took and I was not the only one who was waiting there for that long.

Deceptive pricing and unprofessional service! I had a very disappointing experience at Stanton Optical in Visalia. The "2 for $79.99" deal is misleading -- almost none of the glasses actually qualify. They also added an unexpected $40 charge for a different type of exam that was never properly explained. When I asked for my partner's full prescription, including the pupillary distance (PD), Lilly said it wasn't included -- even though it was clearly written on the paper. When I questioned her, she said "because it wasn't divided," which made no sense and felt like an attempt to confuse us about ordering glasses online. I've bought glasses online before, and the PD is always included in prescriptions if you ask. Lilly was defensive, unprofessional, and even held the prescription against her chest to keep me from seeing it. It felt like she was deliberately withholding information because we didn't plan to buy glasses there. We ended up paying $120 for an exam and no glasses. I've never had an experience this uncomfortable or unprofessional at an eye doctor. Think twice before going here.
