Diablo Eye Associates

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Their website says explicitly that they offer emergency eye care services. I am 35 weeks pregnant with preeclampsia and woke up at 5am with distorted vision, and I have previous eye issues so I immediately looked for a specialist that might see me that same day (because my usual doctor doesn't take same-day walk-ins). It was Friday and I was worried about not being seen for several days over the weekend. I was so happy to read this on the website of Diablo Eye Associates, if only it were true : "If you splash chemicals in your eye or accidentally scratch your cornea, seek emergency eye care immediately. At Diablo Eye Associates in Walnut Creek, California, the ophthalmologists and glaucoma specialists offer same-day emergency eye care to people 12 and older. If you or your child need prompt treatment, call the office, walk in, or book online today. " I drove for an hour and walked in when they opened at 8am and said I was there for emergency services, and they turned me away, saying "Oh, we need to take that off our website, we don't do that". This was two weeks ago and it's still up on their website. I hope they read this and change it, so they don't advertise that they'll help you in an emergency, when they won't... wasting your time and leaving you in more fear trying to find someone who will see you. You know who DID see me same-day? Northern California Cornea Associates! Shout out to them! Go there instead!

Dr. Gilbert and the entire staff at Diablo Eye Associates are amazing. Prior to meeting Dr. Gilbert, other doctors found my individual problem difficult. In contrast, Dr. Gilbert-- with his surgical and medical experience was able to dial me in. You also will find that he has a great bedside manner. If you are facing any surgery to the eyes or related eye issues, use Dr. Gilbert! Many people in my family have also had success.

Dr Gilbert performed cataract surgery on both my eyes a few years ago and it was done perfectly and painlessly. I have had 20/20 vision ever since and happily enjoy such good eyesight. I recommend Dr Gilbert to all my friends and family. He's a top surgeon in his field.

The staff at Diablo eye associates are very knowledgeable and professional. My visit today for my preop for cataract surgery was an extraordinary experience. Dr Gilbert made this visit uneventful and he took the time to explain and answered my questions and put me very at ease for the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr Gilbert and his staff to anyone looking for a knowledgeable surgeon who can put you at ease. Thank you

Patient care is their top priority. Staff is friendly and courteous. Quick and efficient., highly recommend. The Doctors are very caring and have an incredible bedside manner.

Dr Lomelino is kind, caring and provides a high standard of care. She takes time with each visit and I always leave with a clear path forward and a full understanding of the procedures discussed. Highly recommend for her competence and patient friendly demeanor.

Just finished my annual eye check-up. Samira (the assistant) and Dr Gilbert both were efficient and pleasant. It's nice to receive such good care.

Dr. Gilbert is tops in his field. He's knowledgeable, communicates clearly, and elicits trust. His staff is highly professional and friendly. The office is well-run. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment.
