They do not forewarn that your eyes will be getting dilated at your appointment. This can be very dangerous for some. Do better!

Love this doctor I woke up this morning on a Saturday which they are closed. I texted the doctor and told him my problem which was blurred vision in one eye. I asked if there was a way I could come in this morning and he said yes be at my office at 8 AM. He went out of his way to examine my eyes. How many doctors do you know of that will come in on their day off for a patient I can't express the gratitude. I feel for this doctor. I am going to recommend him to all of my friends

Dr. Van Dusen is an exceptional eye care doctor in Yucaipa. He is also a super caring person and helps people that are unable to afford their necessary glasses. His staff and him collect unused eye glasses to use to give to those people needing them. He also works with the Lion's Club on this mission. I don't know all of the details, but I do know he is providing this service of doing great things for the less fortunate people. Besides doing all of this, I am so happy with my new glasses and do is my friend! We can be see so much better and our lenses are lighter, thinner and are tinted when we are outside. Plus our new frames are stylish and modern! Dr. Van Dusen's staff also answers their phones when you call (which is a rarity nowadays), they greet you when you arrive in their clean, organized and comfortable office and they are very warm and welcoming! If you buy their eye glass cleaner, they will give you free refills! Now, who does this besides Dr. Van Dusen? I just have to share my wonderful experience with the services he and his staff are providing! Next time you need your eyes checked and new glasses, I highly recommend him! I had a such a great experience here. The receptionist was very kind and helpful and accommodating to be seen as soon as possible. Dr was super funny and that helped eased my nerves. When picking out my glasses, the manager helped me herself. She helped me pick out some glasses that she told me would compliment my facial features, and I love them! I get so many compliments on them. Overall it was a great experience!

I love this place so much, I've been coming here since I was a teenager, almost 7 years. I've always been helped and had super friendly staff, I love the Australian lady. Dr. Van Dusen is awesome, I've had the experience of seeing help others and volunteer his time to assist people without access to glasses. I have a lot of respect for him. Broke my glasses again and I'm looking forward to coming in and trying to change styles! Always super helpful.

I just got back from a routine prescription update visit, and everything was great: the front desk employees were helpful and nice; everything was thoroughly explained in terms of insurance coverage and/or additional costs. As for Dr. Van Busen himself, he was courteous, informative, and thorough in his examination of my eyes. Everything about my prescription upgrade and other optical issues were explained very well to a layman like myself. I highly recommend this office to anyone in the area.

My husband and I went together. Dr dilated both our eyes. Couldn't see to even drive. No warning prior to appt. When I complained at our next visit, we were told he does that routinely with all pts. We had a full day on our agenda but not after that! Our day was over! Glasses selection was small. I went elsewhere for my glasses. I wasn't going to settle for what she thought looked good on me. Poor reviews on staff are accurate. Also, took our granddaughter there. Dr told her glasses will help her to see the text messages from her boyfriend better. What?! She was 11! He then proceeded to tell her a story about walking in on his daughters slumber party and how they talked about boys. She looked at him and said "I don't have a phone or a boyfriend." So creepy.

I do love this place been going here since 2021 and love the receptionist and the doctor the only thing is that I have to wait for the prescription can't have it when I want it so when I want to get my own glasses because they do scratch and I have to wait 2 years to get new ones or be seen
