Altitude Optometry

This office is so awesome! Dr. Mortenson is wonderful. Explains everything on a patient's level to where I understood all of her comments. The Wonderful person at the Check in desk is amazing. She went above and beyond to try to figure out why my insurance wasn't taking and wanted to do everything possible to make my appointment smooth and painless. The other employee who was back from being gone for a couple years was Amazing as well. She does the testing for specific exams needed, so Dr. Mortenson could get a better view of my vision in general. All in all...great staff and professionalism!

I have been a patient for years, but the vibes felt somewhat off the last time I was there. Dr Fluss was great, but after he left, the doctors I saw afterwards did not have the same good bedside manner. At my exam there was a smudge on the lens of the machine and the optometrist had to clean it twice, but the exam wasn't as comfortable as other exams I've had there. Folks kept asking if I had been there before even though I was a longtime customer, and the experience overall was not very friendly and somewhat unpleasant. Some other weird things when I was checking out.. even though my prescription didn't change they didn't want to give me my contact prescription at first (wanting to wait until the trials came back I guess?). Then when paying the bill, I started to pay with a credit card but noticed a 2% fee. I paid with debit, but they charged one price and then refunded me like $9 afterwards; why the different prices? Anyway, none of these are serious problems, but they didn't make my experience feel very good. But reflecting on the fact that after Dr Fluss left, I saw three different optometrists over my last three appointments, I don't know that I would be so willing to return. I hope others have a more pleasant experience!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Monica Mortenson and her entire team. I went in for a comprehensive eye exam, fully expecting I'd need glasses, based on a friend's recommendation--and I'm so glad I followed it. Dr. Mortenson was thorough, personable, and knowledgeable. She took time to explain everything clearly, answered my questions. Her team was just as warm and professional, creating an easy, welcoming experience from start to finish. It's clear this is a practice that truly prioritizes patient care. I left feeling well taken care of, and grateful to have found such a great provider. I would highly recommend Dr. Mortenson and her team to anyone looking for exceptional eye care.

Having sustained a sharp branch poke my eye I asked if Altitude Alpine could fit me today. They did so quite promptly and I received a thorough examination and care. I am very impressed with the service by all the staff and Dr. Mortenson.

I have been visiting Altitude Optometry for many years for my eye care needs. I have mostly seen Dr. Mortenson, but I have seen other doctors at the practice, as well. I have always been very impressed with the level of expertise and care from Dr. Mortenson and the other doctors, all of the tech people and the front desk staff. Everyone is friendly, professional and very good at their jobs. And, they have what I believe to be the latest in eye health technology and diagnostics. I haven't yet gotten glasses at the adjoining LensCrafters but when you walk through LensCrafters to get to Altitude, everyone is really friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

I highly recommend Dr. Larry Fluss. He helped me understand what every test showed about the health of my eyes, which left me with no concerns. He listened to my concerns about progressive lenses, helped me get a perfect prescription and was patient when I had to pause since a floater got it the way while testing my vision. I lucked out when I found him for my new optometrist!

The Altitude Optometry staff were quick and to the point. I really like how succinct they were without having any unnecessary complications. I highly recommend to anyone looking for eye care.
