I recently had a detached retina in one eye that required surgery. Dr. Lalwani and team were very supportive throughout the entire process and my results were excellent. Truly a miracle eye surgery! I barely lost any vision and it's hard to tell a few months later that I had eye surgery. Appreciate Dr. Lalwani's attention to detail and chosen procedure for my situation. Highly recommend this office! Thanks again.
I was a patient of Gita lalawani to treat diabetic retinopathy in the entire time, I was there. She absolutely refused to provide VEGF. Injections to deal with diabetic retinopathy. She did perform the laser surgery to treat it that way, but without the vegf. Injections, it was not a good service at all. It was expensive. So the final time on a Friday that she performed the laser surgery. The following Monday morning, I woke up with an eyeball full of blood and couldn't see. And that was about it, so I would be very wary of the ego of this. Doctor who seems to be more interested in winning all Awards, or something than doing good doctoring.
Dr. Lalwani is my gaurdian angel where my vision is concerned. She has worked miracles over and over with my retina problems.
The staff is always so professional and patient and kind. I thank God for bring Dr. Lalwani into my life.
Dr. Lalwani and her staff care more than I ever expected. They are kind, knowledgeable, helpful and make me feel they will try in everyway to make my experience successful. I appreciate them more than I can express.Thank you all for your excellence.
Wonderful experience. I appreciate Dr. Luwani's exceptional professionalism and care. She was measured and informative while also being compassionate and real. I saw her for loss of vision in my one eye and ended up needing emergency retina reattachment surgery. She explained I'd be getting a couple of procedures in one surgery and scheduled me for the next day - all while staying, calm, cool and collected. She answered my questions and prepared me for what they call "positioning" right after the surgery. It's where you have to stay laying on one side for days to help the healing process. There was an opportunity for a med student to learn from Dr. Luwani and I agreed to let him observe the surgery. Since I was conscious, I could hear the commentary between them. It was actually relaxing to hear how confident and precise Dr. Luwani was. And how experienced she was with the procedure(s). Clearly she is an expert! I'm grateful that she and her staff guided me through a very scary and serious event. Everyone on the team was caring, confident and informative - from the schedulers to nurses and assistants. Absolute pros. I felt so taken care of and am so grateful to have encountered such a skilled team. Endless gratitude to you!
I cannot recommend Dr. Geeta Lalwani enough for anyone in need of expert retinal care. From the moment I walked into her office, I felt reassured by her calm and confident demeanor. I had been struggling with unexplained vision issues for weeks, and after visiting multiple specialists, I was still without answers.
Dr. Lalwani's thorough examination and attention to detail were unmatched. She quickly identified a complex issue with my retina that other doctors had overlooked and explained it to me in a way that was both professional and easy to understand. She laid out a clear treatment plan and addressed all my concerns with patience and compassion.
Thanks to her expertise, my condition was treated swiftly, and my vision has significantly improved. It's clear that Dr. Lalwani is not only highly skilled but also genuinely cares about her patients. If you're looking for a retinal specialist, look no further. She's truly exceptional in her field.
Staff and physicians are extremely personable. I felt comfortable right away with cheerful smiles and quick hellos when entering the door. My surgeon, Dr. Danek, was authentic, patient, kind and most importantly, highly intelligent. I knew my eye was in "good hands"and I would have full recovery. I mean, she has such a warm hearted smile! Haley Kitchen , the front desk receptionist, always greeted me like we k my ew each other. Cheerful and easy going...no stress to those who may feel anxious !
In regards to insurance, I was struggling with changes in my insurance. The finance department was very patient and cooperative with me and my complicated situation. We built a strong cooperative working collaboration within a short amount of time.THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ME!!! I definitely would recommend Rocky Mountain Retina Association to all.
Very disappointing visit with Dr. Lalwani yesterday. For one of Boulder's Best, I had higher expectations. I was referred to her for a very large floater impairing the vision in my right eye that does not move out of my line of vision. After the referral and all of the diagnostic testing, she came in the room and was not even clear on why I was there. She seemed friendly at first, but asked if that is why I was there. Once I confirmed, her whole demeanor changed. She essentially told me that my only option was a very risky surgery that she would not recommend, nor would approve for 2-3 months. She briefly explained how my brain will get used to it, even though my vision is completely blurry in that eye. She repeated a couple times that my vision is 20/40 in both eyes. Like I was silly for thinking I had a problem. I had a some questions, as I had been told different scenarios from another vision specialist. I went into this appointment very worried and trying to understand everything she was saying. She seemed annoyed and dismissive with my questions, and told me she wasn't arguing with me, and I was welcome to get a second opinion and/or seek out someone more aggressive with treatment. I can promise you that anyone who knows me, knows I am not an argumentative person. I was asking questions, as I was concerned that it could get worse, or the other eye could get worse and I would not be able to work or drive. She said to me, "it is not going to get worse and the left eye had probably already separated. I asked what she meant by that and she said rudely and condescendingly "it is not going to get worse"! What I was asking was what she meant by the statement that the eye had already separated. She maybe spent 7 minutes with me after being there for 2 hours. She was rushing me, annoyed with my questions, and treated me like I was foolish, when I was only scared and concerned and wanting information. Clearly, I was wasting her time. She was starting to leave the room and I still had questions. Again, maybe 7 minutes, maybe 5. I finally asked her where I could put my contacts back in and she walked out and said to her medical assistant "will you show her where to put her contacts in". No nice to meet you, no thanks for coming in, no good luck, no goodbye, no warmth. Just walked out the door. I left there feeling hurt and defeated. It is terrifying to think you might be losing your vision, but she had zero compassion or patience for my questions or concerns. The only reason I am giving a 2 stars is because her staff and technicians were very nice.
