Rocky Mountain Eye Center

I've been a patient of Rocky Mountain Eye Center for years and have always been more than pleased with my care! Whether it was for general checkups, continued treatment of the cataracts I've developed as I've aged, or emergencies, such as when a tiny sliver of metal was stuck in my eye a couple of years ago, they have been there for me. I've always received prompt and friendly service. The staff and doctors are not only well educated, they are attentive and ALWAYS kind. They take their time to fully explain and answer any questions I have, yet I'm rarely kept waiting for any length of time. I can't imagine EVER going anywhere else! I trust them with one of my most important health concerns, my eyes! Update 10/19/23: Just had my right eye done. The surgery and lens implant a great success! Still have the same opinion, they are definitely MY go to eye care center I have never had a better experience and they are so attentive to my needs! Thanks Dr Stevens for restoring my sight! VERY happy with the results!

Gorgeous new facility and easy to access. The staff is awesome, very engaging. The doctor was way cool and straight forward. This is not your typical place that makes you feel like cattle. They take their time to get it right.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Rocky Mountain Eye Center. From the staff to my ophthalmologist, Dr Stevens they have always treated me with kindness and professional courtesy. My surgeries have been painless and successful and aftercare easy and thorough. I've been to the Canon City and Pueblo locations and both offices. I'd recommend either to anyone looking for eye care needs.

I am going steady, steady as she goes with this. This was my first time here as a patient. Third time here if not mistaken. First two were bringing friends to their appointments. And I have to say on all three occasions each started off in rather unsettling ways. With angry unhappy individuals at the front reception/check in desk. All three incidents were loud extreme and awkward. The first two I don't recall all the details but they were so extreme that is was the first thing that comes to mind as to this medical facility. My visit Wednesday I believe exactly like the other two but the young lady, the only person it appeared working that area was calm cool professional and apologetic. And promptly told (coworkers, boss) again in a professional manner. I was taken back to begin by a young Hispanic lady who I couldn't have been happier with. She really was amazing and even more amazing she is still in school studying to become an MA, yet she was through well mannered and professional. And this was not just a paper work position. She did all the tests. A slew of them. I would say 80% of my appointment was with this young lady whom I cannot say enough positive about. When she finishes school and enters the workforce there will be one lucky employer and unlimited number of lucky happy satisfied patients thanks to this young lady. The rest of my appointment moved along just as pleasant seeing another nurse and the Dr. I will be scheduled for surgery on two separate appointments and continue with this at that time or times. 1 star because 0 is not an option. ***Update They did exchange the first frames for another pair. Although they still did not do any kind of measurements of my face to make sure the frames were the correct size. So I ended up returning them so I can take my business elsewhere. They don't have a Dr for this location so they are not open as scheduled. You should call to make sure they are open, since they don't have an optician to do adjustments if no Dr. that day. They told me to drive to Pueblo for adjustments if the Canon city location is closed. If I wanted to drive 45 minutes I would have chosen the Pueblo location in the first place. They did not even check how the new frames fit me when I picked up my new glasses. They got the prescription wrong. Had to wait over a week for another exam. They are not open on Mondays like the window states. Had to wait till Tuesday after 5 days of needing adjustment of frames and they don't even have anyone there to do an adjustment. Not to mention they have a very very small selection of frames. The only reason I went here in first place was because I had a really good experience with the Pueblo West locatin a few years back. Worst mistake I have made for eye care.

They're always happy and friendly at the Rocky Mountain Eye-center. I had to bring my almost 2 year old with me for my appointment. They were super nice and didn't mind her gentle rambunctiousness. Thank you for making my visit easy and great!

Today I had cataract surgery. The nurses at the Surgery Center were very professional and very nice. They put my nerves at ease and the anesthetist made sure I was comfortable. Dr Stevens did a wonderful job and I look forward to being able to see the stars again. (My cataract had prevented me from seeing the stars because it was blocking the light.) The technicians and nurses at Rocky Mtn Eye Center are friendly and professional.

As usual I received excellent treatment. I will miss my Doctor. Dr. Blom took time to do an eye medical procedure on the last day in the Canon City, Co. clinic before it closed. He and staff will be missed.
