You take the fall for their mess up. We had an appt for our 4-year-old as a follow up. My husband arrived at 10:59 am thinking our appt was at 11 but apparently it was for 10:50. We never received a reminder text or call of the time because they inputted our numbers wrong into their system. They refused to take my daughter because their waiting room was full of people already behind on their appts. My daughter was hysterically upset. We will be taking our business to another provider.

Not all superheroes wear capes... and sometimes, even adults need the help of a superhero. After several years of searching, contemplating, anticipating, and procrastinating, I arrived in the care of Dr. DeSantis. There aren't many adults who will experience the unnerving insecurities associated with eye alignment issues, especially since these problems are typically resolved soon after birth. For those of us left to face these challenges head-on, this internal struggle eventually eats its way to the core of ones' own soul - after all, eyes are said to be the very window to that soul. As one may expect, broken eyes tend to make easy targets for bullying on the schoolyard, but many may not anticipate these struggles to remain prevalent long into adulthood. In my experience, it's not typically an insecurity that, "one eventually accepts as they grow older". Societal norms often dictate that a lack of eye contact is grounds for a reduction in trust; misaligned eyes are often misperceived as being correlated to intelligence, sobriety, or sanity; and the overall awkwardness of wonky eye alignment often gets in the way of simple conversations, and often times prevents these conversations from occurring in the first place. Many will never experience these social challenges -be grateful! For those of us who do, don't lose hope!! After prior eye treatments and several years of relentlessly pursuing my options (across the Country), I can eagerly vouch for Dr. DeSantis and Colorado Center for Eye Alignment as being the best option you'll find for Ophthalmology specializing in adult strabismus. In fact, my desire is for all adults struggling with eye alignment issues to know that there ARE options and there IS hope for many of us who were once told the opposite. These physicians share the collective knowledge and experience necessary to ensure the best potential outcome for the patient. Every encounter I've had with this facility has been extraordinary, including interactions with the attentive medical assistants and scheduling staff. (Contrary to some of the negative reviews: when you've waited 20 years to find a doctor that has the skills and competence necessary for a successful outcome, spending an extra 20 mins in the waiting room is absolutely irrelevant!) During a time where medical facilities across this great Country are showing signs of decline and hardship, this facility has steadfastly proven itself as a small, bright, thriving beacon of hope. I wasn't treated as merely another number here. I sincerely encourage anyone needing this type of medical treatment to find their way to these brilliant Doctors! I am and will be forever grateful of Dr. DeSantis and the mission of the Colorado Center for Eye Alignment for this magnificent change they've made in my life. The superhero I found at this center not only repaired my broken eyes- she helped revive my soul.
