Southglenn Eyecare

I have been going to this eyecare for well over twenty years, and the care given has been top-notch. They have not only transformed with the times, but also have maintained a really nice practice that actually puts their patients first.

I had to wait 45 minutes for an appointment I made while other people who came in later got seen sooner. They kept losing the data from different eye tests they were doing, so they had to do them again and again... then I had to wait like 20 minutes for the actual optometrist who pulled my hair while she was changing lenses. 2 hr appointment for something that could've (and should've) been done in 30 minutes max. Would never recommend.

If patients have to wait 40+ minutes after their appointment start time to be seen, then it's an issue with oversaturation of scheduling. Provide larger gaps in-between patients to help with this. After they dilated my eyes, the optometrist took about 6-10 seconds per eye to go through the examination, which involves shining a very bright light into your eye to illuminate the back of it. No issues there, very quick. However, they then had the intern come in to repeat the exercise (without asking me first). I understand interns are there to learn but it literally took her 30-40 seconds per eye which was incredibly uncomfortable to endure that bright light for. On top of that, she persisted in holding the circular magnifying glass directly onto my eyelashes, which stimulated further blinking. Even though I repeatedly told her she was doing this, she kept asking for me to keep my eyes wide open. I recommend she spends more time shadowing the optometrist on this to improve.

Wonderful group of women that made me feel welcome. Every staff member that helped with my visit was patient and knowledgeable. The office is easy to access, bright and has a wide variety of frame options. I definitely recommend this office!

I just received my glasses. I am happy! The total experience was really nice. Mariah helped me choose a frame that fit my face and features to bring about a refreshed look and better vision. I had a lot of fun with Mariah along with her personalized care and honesty. Thank you.

Fast and easy to schedule an appointment (they use Zocdoc) and the staff is very nice. Dr. Kincaid was amazing. Her bedside manner was fantastic. She was so friendly and explained everything so well. Highly highly recommend.

Highly recommend! I suffered a traumatic eye injury and called Dr. Pederson on his emergency number. He called me 5 minutes later and got me in first thing in the morning. The entire staff was extremely compassionate as I was on the verge of passing out and had to take breaks and lay on the floor to recover between imaging sessions. I am so thankful for Southglenn Eyecare, the doctors and the entire medical staff for providing excellent, prompt medical care in a critical time for me.

Everyone in my family has difficult prescriptions and Dr. Pederson has been wonderful. He ha s great expertise and is always thorough, helpful and kind. I owe it to him that I can drive and read (but not at the same time!)
