My doctor is top notch but the office staff is 100% incompetent. To talk to anyone you have to call and leave multiple messages over several days to get a return call. I'm currently considering a every 3 months drive to Denver just so I can actually talk to my doctor or make an appointment in under a week. I understand being busy but if its that bad. Hire more people. Fire some patients. Anything to make it possible to talk to someone in under a week.

A bit rushed with the appearance of needing to fulfill a quota. Always new and inexperienced assistants not familiar with the patient since they're not around long enough to see the same patient beyond one cycle. As a result, not realizing nor being sensative to the individual patient's needs prior to a treatment, which causes inconsistant outcomes and experience. Poor oversight.
They have't gotten the Memo, that its all about patient...

A year ago I was diagnosed with wet AMD and have been and will continue to receive treatments by Dr. Fenberg. This diagnosis was a little scary to me because I had watched my two older brothers' eyesight deteriorate from this condition. I am so grateful for the excellent care I receive from Dr. Fenberg and the entire staff at Southwest Eye Consultants. Everyone from the front desk to the technicians to the doctor are so professional, pleasant and helpful.
Dr Fenberg is extremely knowledgeable and explained my condition to me and treatment available and what I should expect. He is always encouraging and positive about the treatments. I don't even think about my condition anymore. I know I am getting the best care possible.
In addition, Dr. Fenberg encouraged me to have cataract surgery which I did in April and my eyesight is amazingly better than ever. I pick up a book to read and then I reach for my glasses and then I remember oh , I don't need those anymore. I see perfectly.
I highly recommend Dr. Fenberg and Southwest Eye Consultants Don't hesitate, give them a call.

I had my retina repaired in Florida 3 months ago and it detached again in Colorado. Southwest eye consultants gave me a prompt examination, diagnosis, scheduled me for surgery with Dr Fenberg in Durango, with a follow-up in Cortez with Dr Clark. They're efficiency and the amazing staff rapport with patients makes me comfortable that I had the repair surgery in Colorado rather than going back to Florida.

Dr Fenberg is amazing. Caring and patient, understanding. Eli the surgical coordinator is also amazing and caring, and accommodating. My only issue is not getting the office directly when you call. The off site person that usually answers is hard to understand and I don't feel like they know you like the actual office staff.
